Gorgeous resin burner

This resin burner is so much more than I expected! First off, it was packaged wonderfully. When I opened the box, I was surprised to find a sweet blank notecard to give to a friend and even a car air freshener! I also didn’t realize it came with beautiful gold tongs. The pillar stands elegantly- my office mate said it looked like it belongs in a beautiful spa! I immediately grabbed my copal from Belize and put that in the burner with a small piece of charcoal. It burned so nicely- there is great airflow so we had no problem keeping it going. The gold tongs came in handy as I added more copal to the burner. I didn’t note that the top lid gets warm, so be aware of that when you take the lid off. However if I used a smaller piece of charcoal, maybe that would help the heat. But having the tongs allow you to even use those to remove the top. When the smoke came out of the top, it was so beautiful looking. I appreciate how easily the burner comes apart for cleaning. I absolutely love this product and can’t wait to use it during my massage sessions!

modern look, traditional burn style

I wasn’t totally sure about how this was supposed to work. The listing language doesn’t exactly explain the process clearly, especially if you’ve never burned resin incense before. So here’s the real deal.This is a traditional charcoal-based resin burner. You do not just drop frankincense into the bowl and light it. You need self-lighting charcoal discs. The gold metal cup holds the charcoal, the perforated gold tray sits above it, and the resin goes on top of that. Once the charcoal is fully lit and ashed over, the resin melts and releases fragrance from the heat.Now that I understand how it works, I actually think it’s a pretty solid setup.The black outer body has a modern, angular look that’s different from the usual ornate brass incense burners. It feels weighty enough to be stable, and the irregular “stone-like” texture gives it some visual interest without being flashy. The gold interior parts contrast nicely against the matte black exterior.The included tongs are necessary. Once that charcoal is lit, everything inside gets extremely hot. This is real heat and real smoke - not candle-level scent. If you’re used to subtle essential oil diffusers, this is stronger and more traditional. Think church incense or Middle Eastern bakhoor style fragrance.A couple practical notes:- You absolutely need charcoal discs - they are not included.- Use this on a heat-safe surface.- Expect noticeable smoke output.Packaging was good, and all the metal components fit properly into place. Once assembled, it looks elegant sitting on a table.If you’re specifically looking to burn frankincense resin the traditional way, this does the job well. I’m really happy with this frankincense/bakhoor incense burner. The height is perfect—it feels substantial and decorative at 10.6 inches tall, not small or flimsy like some incense burners can be.
