Amazon Vine Review of Modern Abstract Area Rug

I'm most impressed by the rug's softness and the durable rubber backing. I took it out of the package, and the wrinkles relaxed within about 45 minutes to an hour, enough so that it appeared flat. I walked on it as it was down on the wood flooring, and it did not slip or slide at all. It's fairly thin and pliable, so it was easy to move and shift. I have not tried washing it yet, though it says that it is washable. It seems that it would easily fit in a heavy-duty washer as it's 5 by 7 feet. I would definitely be leery of wearing any shoes on it or having pets on it as the light spots in the rug are very "white" and would likely show stains and discolorations, but with the overall artistic design, they may blend in a bit as well. In the right decor, this area rug would make a lovely addition. Overall, I'd say that it is worth the money, seems durable, and is true to size. Highly recommend if you are looking for this style of rug.

Very Attractive. Good Feel Under (Bare)Foot. Non-Slip Backing Effective +

The FlyDOIT Modern Abstract 5x7 Brown Area Rug with Non-Slip Backing (ASIN: B0GCR6DNZF) is very soft and comfortable underfoot. The non-slip backing is effective on my tile floor. The rug has not moved despite many trips walking across it in the normal course of my day. Accompanying the rug was an information card and 6 adhesive hook and loop disks. The disks are not mentioned in the information card, but I suspect that if the rug’s non-slip backing is not effective, the 6 disks can be used to improve maintaining the rug in place. Each hook and loop disks has a peel off backing to revel the adhesive. The hook and loop sides are effective.The rug flattened well, but not completely as it was laid it out. Overnight showed good improvement. Even as it is, the ridges are minor and have not been a trip hazard. I now consider it completely flat after 5 days. My only flattening action is to lay it flat on the tile floor and walk on it as necessary to reach my destination. Pretty easy.I found that a rug of this size, feel, and appearance at the posted price to be a good value.

Shipped folded, and a little off-base for the color scheme. Not recommended.

I can’t really fault this rug too much for its appearance, as the product photos are fairly accurate. But, in person, the yellow-greenish areas look more like stains of some sort. To me, at least. The rug is fairly thin, but pretty soft on the surface with a decent backing to minimize slippage.I was very disappointed when unboxing this rug, as it is packaged folded… like bedsheets or blankets would be. As a result, creases are evident in the rug and these take quite a while to settle out. The rug still isn’t completely flat, after weeks of lying on our deck.In all, it’s a rug that doesn’t quite look right at an unimpressive price.

Looks better in the ad, but ok for the price.

This area rug looked pretty nice in the ad but in person it looks more like a printed picture than a design. It still is ok for the price you pay and from a distance it looks better. The quality is on the descent side but not like the area rugs you would get at box chains. It's more like a cheaper, thinner rug. It does have a nice look to the backside compared to some other inexpensive ones I've gotten online. Overall, if you are looking for something inexpensive, this would be a good fit, but if you want a higher end rug, you will definitely want to go with something else.

Soft, no slip, low pile, rugged

The abstract design on this area rug is created to look as though it’s got wear and tear, but the construction has all the benefits of a new rug.The rug has a short, polyester pile that makes it extra rugged and easy to clean and maintain. But best of all the entire back is rubberized so it’s not slippery.The edge of the rug has what is called binding, which is a sewn edge with overlock stitching that wraps the edge in a cloth cord/band that will help prevent fraying and edge curl.The instruction say that after about 24 hours the rug will naturally flatten out the folds, but that you can “reverse fold” to remove any remaining creases. Given the polyester construction I think the folds will come out just from regular use, day to day, after a few days, particularly since the rubber backing doesn’t hold the folds, but rather is flat out of the package.I like the blues and greens and lighter areas of the design, making it good for a casual feel, not formal, perfect for next to my bed where I don’t want a rug to show dust or wear patterns over time, and I want it to be easy to vacuum, which this type of rug will be with it’s short pile, sewn edges, and rubber back. It's very soft, perfect for bare feet.Although the rug comes with a number of “hook and loop” circles with adhesive backing, I found that they weren’t necessary for my use situation (on a hard tile floor) but they are good to have for more uneven flooring situations, where you want to more securely fasten it.

Not only was this rug a great buy, but it also. is very functional. I love the non -slip feature - this rug stays in place. It is also thin, but durable. I have visitors that are not steady on their feet. They have not had any problem walking on and around this rug. This is an important feature. It is neutral and fits in great in my family room decor. I have rceived a number of compliments on it from guests. I have not had to wash it but I did wipe off a spill and it came clean without a hassle. Highly recommend this purchase. It is a winner.
