Happy with this!

I LOVE this rug. Im using it over preexisting carpet in a low traffic area (my room). It’s super soft and cozy, rolls out and lays thick and flat (can’t see through it). The backing is similar to the backing on a bathroom mat, but higher quality. It was affordable for me, didn’t want anything expensive, just something practical, economical, nice to look at, nice feel, quick delivery, and lightweight. This fit the bill. Mine is in beige, the 8 foot one and it is true to size. Id say go for it if you can get it cheap (mine was about $40 at the time of writing on sale, you’re renting, in a dorm, cool with it being a bit slippery, like stuff that has a pleasant skin feel, and don’t want the hassle of a heavy rug. The kids love chilling on this carpet too because it’s very soft and they can scoot around on it easily.

Weird rug! You get what you pay for though, so I'm actually kind of impressed.

This rug is not a rug at all. It is super silky teddy bear fur sewn on top of a layer of foam that is sandwiched between the "teddy bear fur" and a fabric no-slip backing (think Sky Zone socks though. Not traditional no slip backing ) Very interesting. Positives: it is so pretty! It is soft, in spite of being very thin, I even tested it with a quick vacuum, to make sure the "teddy bear fur" did not get sucked up into the spinner, making it impossible to vacuum. It was close. The vacuum struggled a little, but it did work. It is so inexpensive!Negatives: the teddy bear fur is silky, which makes it so slippery. You don't feel it so much when you're wearing shoes, because the weight of our body and the grip of the shoes, but in socks or barefoot that silky fur makes it feel like you could go sliding. My kids actually played, sliding across it. They love it. They can make snow angels. The fur is that long, and definitely leaves marks from their bodies. I was worried that it might be TOO slippery, and that my husband or I might wipe out, walking across it in the dark (it's for our bedroom). I think we will probably be OK though. Weird, weird carpet. You get what you pay for though, and this is kind of impressively soft and good looking for what it is.

So soft!

I was really nervous buying this rug. The reviews were iffy. It’s been a month now and it’s holding up great!! The color is perfect, it’s so soft to step on. The only thing I’m upset with is I didn’t get a bigger one!! It’s super easy to clean. I haven’t washed it yet, but I think it could definitely go in a washing machine ! The size is exactly as described and it’s super easy to fold if you have to store it during a deep clean!

Great value if your expectations are are reasonable due to the price.

****UPDATE AFTER A FEW A MONTH.Okay so now that it's been a while in real world living I've found a major flaw. This carpet can easily and strangely get debris trapped in it that takes scissors or a strong grip to rip out. Specifically I allow my dog to chew his pork femur bones on my carpet and he gets tiny and not so tiny bone fragments spread around and the normal carpet that this carpet replaced never had any issues and I could just pick up the big fragments and vacuum the little ones. With this carpet its like trying to pull sharp crumbs out of my afro and bionic fleas off of my cats ass. So I took two stars off to make it 3 stars because that's just too much of a strange flaw that I've never encountered in the 30 or so throw rugs and carpets that I've purchased and grew up with.ORIGINAL*** REVIEWIt's not like a traditional rug. First off it's sort of like a bath rug in that it's backing allows for it to be easily folded to reduce it size. Basically it doesn't have the traditional carpet/rug backing that's stiff enough to roll up the carpet and set it in a corner horizontally without it flopping over. My 8x10 came folded in a box the size off a back pack and was easily spread out with no creases after I smoothed it out all within 10 minutes. It's a very unique material and it's extremely soft. You have to actually wait until you see it and feel it to understand the difference between it, a traditional rug and a bathroom rug. I actually think it's a tremendous value but some reviewers weren't pleased. It's something that would be excellent for a kids bedroom with hardwood floors due to it's low price point and a child's tendency to reduce the value of a more expensive rug by a kid just being a kid if you know what I mean. I personally have mine in my living room and I'm happy with it.

I rarely write product reviews, but this rug truly deserves one.It is extremely soft, stays in place on the floor, and is also beautiful. For the price, I didn’t have high expectations, so I was pleasantly surprised.I previously owned a similar rug made of 100% cotton, and it was terrible to clean and shed fibers everywhere. I’m generally not a fan of synthetic materials, but in this case, it worked beautifully and exceeded my expectations.
