Bookshelf Reminds Me of a Birdhouse

This neat book holder reminded me of a birdhouse, so I found a cute bird on a stack of books for the shelf, and there's room for more. It's going to be perfect for my Gary Paulsen collection. (Still in progress) I took a guess if the bird would fit because I ordered it before the shelf got here, and there were no shelf measurements provided in the description. So I included a picture with a measuring tape. I was going to paint it because I thought it was just cheap and fake wood, but the wood is real, and smells really good so I'm leaving it as is. The bookshelf is also sturdy, I didn't have to use the drywall anchors. The elastic for the books comes attached, you just have to screw the wood together. The elastic is also just right, it doesn't squeeze my book covers.I'm seeing some people are having trouble putting the shelf together. It comes with instructions with pictures but no words. I think the most confusing part for people is which side of the wood the screws go in, that matters for fitment. I included a picture showing the side of the wood with the larger angled hole should be facing up or outwards for the screw to be able to go in at an angle. I know it seems like it should be the other way around but it's not. It also helps to screw the screw in by hand so it's barely poking out, and then align them all before tightening. But note that on some of the screws, they should be tightened first on one side to ensure the board moves enough to align to the other side. Once you get it aligned you can tighten by hand. I don't recommend using a drill unless you're using a low torque. (They do include a small screwdriver in the package.)Just have patience and it will come together pretty easily as long as you have the boards facing the right way, because they can go either way. Hope that helps anyone else struggling to put it together. The instructions could use a little more clarity probably. Overall I'm extremely happy with it and can't wait for my collection to be complete!

It’s the cutest!

It’s adorable and perfect. Everyone who is saying the nail hole isn’t lined up it’s because the wood piece is backwards. They did it wrong. The nails match up just right when the deep hole is facing outward. Hope that helps!

Unique and fun!

This is so so so cool!!!! It was a tad hard to put together, with the screws being a tad tough in some places, but I don't care because it is hands down one of the coolest shelves I have ever seen. It doesn't store a lot of books, but I have put my favorites in it to highlight. The quality seems sturdy, and I was easily able to attach it. It's pretty easy to get the books in and out as well, so it's a functional bookshelf! Overall, this is really unique, and I would definitely get more.

So cute!

This shelf looks really unique but serves a purpose! It does require some assembly but there was easy to follow instructions with photos. It also came with a mini screwdriver and generous sized wall anchors and screws. I really like how this product is made from wooden material! This product is really unique looking and very durable. There are 8 sets of very streatchy bands underneath this product to hold various sized books. They really do stretch out which surprised me. I really like this product and highly recomend it to any book lover out there who may want something more unique looking.
