The thickness is fantastic and exactly what I wanted! Def no weird smell at all. The trimming down was super easy for such a high quality pad. Once in place it makes the carpet slip resistant! I will always buy these types of pads from now on!
It works very well under hallway runners. Stops slipping.
Bought to use with a Ruggable doormat size rug. Cut to size, but it's SO thick it was hard to make it work and the rug doesn't really stay in place, but it's not enough to complain about or get a refund. Just beware that this may be better suited for like a heavy/heavy duty rug and not something washable.
Works very well. Rug stays in place. It is easy to cut to whatever size you need.

It’s pretty terrible, the bottom of the pad does grip the floors fairly well but the top does not stick to my rug at all, it need velcro or something to help your rug stay on top of it.
Bought this for a 10 foot runner my front hall. It appears to be of excellent quality and the price was right. The thickness is just right for the runner. Seems to be preventing it from sliding around. Time will tell when the playful granddog comes to visit
