Does the job kinda

I ordered this as a room divider since it was advertised for theater curtains. While they are beautiful they are not very effective for sound dampeningI don’t expect them to be 100% sound proof but definitely are not as heavy as I anticipated. They are quite thin.They are great insulators 5stars in that department. It retains heat in the room.

Perfect backdrop for my arcade room

The room in my basement where my arcade machines are has an access door for a small storage area. It’s barely used so I got this single piece curtain to put up in the wall to have the door and also give my basement a bit more of the arcade vibe I remember as a kid. The curtain is unbacked which I didn’t care about since it’s just there to hide a door. It is not pleated so think about how you want to do that on your install. Right now I have a temporary rod in place but I think on going to staple the curtain to a board to give it a uniform pleat and look a little more finished. For the price it’s perfect. I was going to spend this much of velvet fabric alone and then I’d have to finish it. This saved a good amount of time so I can get on with other projects.

Nicely made and does the job well!

I got this curtain to block outside light from my living room which I use not only as a place to watch TV, but also as a photo studio.The curtain feels heavy and substantial and well-made. The velvet side is soft and light absorbing; as you can see from my photo, it completely blocks the light coming in through the window.As an added bonus I'm fairly certain that the thickness and material of this curtain also dampens sound and helps reduce acoustic reflections.⚠️ One thing to note is that the curtain comes with adjustable plastic clips that you will have to insert into the pockets at the top of the curtain in order to hang it, but it DID NOT come with the rings to hand it on the curtain rod.I had to purchase those separately.I really like this curtain and will be purchasing more panels.

Luxurious velvet and completely black.

You won't get a room with windows much darker than you will with these curtains. Smooth, soft velvet, they are heavy and thick enough to do the job well. They also help out with the sound of the room by absorbing some of the echo or bounceback sound that windows create. A little pricey, but all good things are. There are cheaper ones if that's what you are after, but I doubt they are as good quality as these.
