Protecting our Geese

We have several Canada Geese that have made our property their home. One pair has nested on our pond island each year for the past 10 years. They are so interesting to watch and we enjoy having them around. Sometimes, they cross the road and I worry they might get hit, especially when they have their little ones with them. Hopefully, the "Goose Crossing" sign will remind drivers to slow down a bit. The sign is a good size, well made and aptly depicts a Canada Goose on it.

Great idea, poor execution

Purchased this to remind our delivery drivers of the family of geese that has adopted our front yard. Also purchased a standard U-Channel post to hang the sign on. Well, the mounting holes were not lined up and since the post is steel it would be way easier to just drill a hole on the sign where it needs to be since the sign is aluminum. I used a small piece of painters tape to protect the front of the sign, peeled of the painters tape and the decal came right off with the tape. $30, wasted, used a highlighter and a sharpie to try to repair…you see how that went! Don’t imagine it would hold up in weather if it couldn’t handle the painters tape…
