I used these to soften up a plain wall in a home office, and they do a decent job creating that “greenery” look from a normal viewing distance. The vines are lightweight and easy to drape, and you can trim and rearrange them without tools, which makes setup forgiving. The leaves have a bit of variation in tone, so they don’t look completely flat, although up close the material is clearly plastic and the shine can give it away under bright overhead light. A quick rinse and air-out helped with the initial packaging smell, and after that they were fine. The included stems can be a little stiff, so I spent a few minutes bending them into a more natural shape. They’ve stayed in place well with small hooks and tape, and they haven’t shed leaves around the room. Illusion of lush vegetation with a really funky smell

The first thing I noticed about these vines when I opened the bag was that they smelled really bad. Not the usual chemical plastic smell either. I had to air them out for weeks and they still stink. I was going to use them in a location where I fear cross contamination of the odor could occur, so I am going to continue airing them out for a while more before installing them.It is a good thing that there are so many in the bundle because the leaf concentration is not really heavy per vine. To get that lush look they have on the sales post, you will need to cluster them up tightly. It will take a lot of work to position each one so be prepared for that, as each strand is independent. The leaves are a thin poly fabric (not silk) that are cut raw – no seal or finishing on the edges. A lot of wind and outdoor exposure will cause them to fray.Beyond that, from a distance, they do present a decent facsimile of healthy green vines and for this price, I am not looking for real silk flowers. They are also longer and easier to deal with than the type you can find in most big box stores, especially with the number of vines included in the set. Just don’t look at them too close and maybe use an air freshener on them before guests arrive.

Fabric leaves and fishy smells

Vines arrived in a non-see through bag. The bag contained two see through bags. The leaves on the vines feel very soft like satin. The entire thing smells like raw shrimp. Vine ends are tied together so you can separate them easier. I will be attempting to spray these with fabric freshener so my house doesn’t smell like a fish market.

Artificial Ivy

This is a decent value for the amount of artificial ivy vines you receive. It comes in two seperate pouches, and the leaves are not bad looking. You do need to do quite a bit of fussing to get them to look nice and hang somewhat realistically. My plan is to pull the leaves off and use them individually in a craft project. Perfect for spring or just bringing pet safe outdoors into your home.

Yucky smell and not realistic

I was really disappointed with these vines. As soon as I opened the package, the smell was awful. I had to leave them outside for a couple of days before it even started to fade. That alone made them unpleasant to use right away.Appearance wise, they don’t look very realistic in person. The leaves have a very fake, plastic look, and even hanging them up didn’t give the natural greenery effect I was hoping for. The length and quantity seem good on paper, but the quality just isn’t there.Overall, between the strong odor, lack of realism, and poor value for the money, I wouldn’t recommend these.
