I used these to soften up a plain wall in a home office, and they do a decent job creating that “greenery” look from a normal viewing distance. The vines are lightweight and easy to drape, and you can trim and rearrange them without tools, which makes setup forgiving. The leaves have a bit of variation in tone, so they don’t look completely flat, although up close the material is clearly plastic and the shine can give it away under bright overhead light. A quick rinse and air-out helped with the initial packaging smell, and after that they were fine. The included stems can be a little stiff, so I spent a few minutes bending them into a more natural shape. They’ve stayed in place well with small hooks and tape, and they haven’t shed leaves around the room. Illusion of lush vegetation with a really funky smell

The first thing I noticed about these vines when I opened the bag was that they smelled really bad. Not the usual chemical plastic smell either. I had to air them out for weeks and they still stink. I was going to use them in a location where I fear cross contamination of the odor could occur, so I am going to continue airing them out for a while more before installing them.It is a good thing that there are so many in the bundle because the leaf concentration is not really heavy per vine. To get that lush look they have on the sales post, you will need to cluster them up tightly. It will take a lot of work to position each one so be prepared for that, as each strand is independent. The leaves are a thin poly fabric (not silk) that are cut raw – no seal or finishing on the edges. A lot of wind and outdoor exposure will cause them to fray.Beyond that, from a distance, they do present a decent facsimile of healthy green vines and for this price, I am not looking for real silk flowers. They are also longer and easier to deal with than the type you can find in most big box stores, especially with the number of vines included in the set. Just don’t look at them too close and maybe use an air freshener on them before guests arrive.

Realistic ivy vine

Going to use this for my friends wedding. We're gonna hang it and attach flowers all through it and also decorate the tables with it. Its a perfect size, you get allot to mess around with and the color is beautiful. Also very well made. They do have a weird, almost chemical like smell. Fabric leaves and fishy smells

Vines arrived in a non-see through bag. The bag contained two see through bags. The leaves on the vines feel very soft like satin. The entire thing smells like raw shrimp. Vine ends are tied together so you can separate them easier. I will be attempting to spray these with fabric freshener so my house doesn’t smell like a fish market.

Actually softer than our other vines

My girls and I have been big fans of vines (especially mixed with fairy lights) for a few years now, and we needed to replace a set that we lost in our move. They are so inexpensive but give such a big impact to any room decor, so ordering is a no brainer. The vines were just as expected at first, although I was surprised to discover that the leaves are actually a bit softer and nicer looking than our other current vines as well as the previous ones. These look and feel less plasticky up close, especially the front side of the leaves. They are a really cool fabric/material. Typically both sides of the leaves feel the same, but these are different enough that I immediately noticed. Less artificial. All vines look great once they are draped up, but these will look even better, since they look better up close. I appreciate that they are split into two packs for easier handling, and neatly and easily unwind from each other.
