There is an odor at first like others have stated, but isn't noticeable now that they're up. I did set them outside for maybe 10 minutes. Not super high quality, but for $7 i'm happy with them. I think they look great in my kitchen.

Surprisingly life like and nice!
Yes, they are fake, but when you have a tiny, windowless bathroom, they're a welcomed addition. They make my bathroom look lush and beautiful. Plus, I don't have to worry about watering and falling leaves. The price was so good that I may invest in more.
