I love them. They definitely smell when you first open them, and need to be put together in a well-ventilated space, but no biggie. Comes with plenty of foliage to be full. You will have to fluff the branches, of course. They look quite real. I looked at a *lot* of different faux hanging plants, and these were the best quality + deal ($20/per), versus getting large, expensive faux plants that didn’t already come with hangers. I will likely have to bring them in when the Midwest wind gets extreme, because I’m not sure the inner bowl will keep everything in place, but we will see!

Good looking but wish had more weight

These look really nice wnd full.The bottom and the ferns come seperate. You arrange the stalks of ferns by sticking them into the green plant-looking balls that go in the base. It took me a few tries to get the individual pots looking full.My intention is to hang them outside from a covered porch. The plants will be above head height and the idea of not having to water or maintain is really working for me. They are going to look great. But, because I am using outdoors, I am worried about the lightness of the plant ball, and nothing really holding in the stalks with any sort off wind. I may try to weigh it down some and potentially hot glue the ferns in.I have a bunch of indoor cats. I would also be worried using indoors as they would walk off with ferns or just dump the whole planter for amusement. Because it is so lightweight, they would succeed.The plants are of course plastic and smell like plastic, but there was not a heavy off gassing smell to the plants.Overall very happy though.

Realistic looking lightweight artificial ferns perfect for hanging on my front porch roof

I always wanted to hang a plant from my front porch roof to add to the coziness of my wicker furniture and flowers. The problem was the plants were too heavy because of the weight of the pots, and the dirt, especially after watering them. So as a result I’ve never hung anything. But these ferns are the perfect solution. There are already a couple of nails hanging from my roof overhang so all I have to do is add something to the nails that these ferns can hook into. It can be as lightweight as a few pieces of string or wire. And this looks like a project I can tackle by myself, for which I am thrilled!I have purchased many artificial flowers and plants over the years so I am pretty good at detecting what looks real and what doesn’t. The fine thin greenery of the ferns adds to the realism. There are plenty of of fern leaves on each of the 24 pieces. So you will put 12 pieces per hanging pot and it fills up nicely. It is very easy to fill up the baskets with the ferns and after you hang them it’s also easy to move the ferns around so that you can get them nicely placed.I like the hanging basket/planters also- both the color and the material. It’s very natural looking, which is what you want when you purchase artificial plants. Also overtime, the green will fade, which is why I purchased the darker color.Also noteworthy is to be watchful on those days with high winds if your ferns have no protection. The wind may blow some of the pieces on the ground. This is not a problem for me- I may just take them down if the wind is greater than 30 mph. But this happens with all artificial flowers that are not securely fastened in, so not a problem, but noteworthy.Bottom line: With the abundance of leaves and their natural appearance, these two hanging fern baskets are a great value. Highly recommend!

Excellent value baskets for a longtime purchase - just needs a few additional stems

These hanging fern baskets are pretty nice for the price! The baskets are well made and the standard size one would expect for hanging on your porch or patio. The metal basket and chain are sturdy and strong, with a large hook at the top which makes it much easier to hang up than some of the others I've seen with tiny little hooks that are hard to hold onto. The grass material is tightly woven and should hold up well in the outside elements. If you were to ever use these baskets for real plants, you would certainly be able without any issue. For the greenery, these come with to half "balls" of greenery that serve as flower frogs for you to insert the stems into. These make a really nice base so that any part of the top edge of the basket that is exposed, still looks like there is greenery in it vs a blank space. The fern stems that come with it were surprisingly more realistic than I expected. There are plenty to fill each basket, though more would be better. Of course you could add any kind of other stems that you choose. Overall I am very pleased with these, and considering the exorbitant cost of live ferns in hanging baskets, these are an excellent value! The baskets will last many years and you can change out the plants/flowers however you like!

Very realistic!

I've never had much luck with ferns although I love them. When I saw this item, I knew it was perfect! There is a nice quality to the leaves, and the variegated color makes it look more real. The leaves are a nice size, although a few more would make it look a bit fuller. Fluffing them thoroughly does help with that issue. They appear to be well made. I haven't put them on the patio yet as our weather has been terrible. They seem to be easy to assemble, although I may put a bit of foam inside if I feel it's needed. It probably wouldn't need it, but I live in an area with a lot of trees, so I want to experiment a bit before deciding. I think it's a good price for the quality of the plants and containers. I doubt I could find something with this quality at a lower price.
