This fern is well woth the money. I was presently surprised when opening this up. It's more than expected and when you get it all fluffed out it's gorgeous. Far away it's realistic but when I got up to it I could tell it was not. But I work with these materials often. When fluffing I was able to pull the individual pieces with out pulling them out. It came out nicely round teardrop shape
Everything is as expected. The green shades are vivid and realistic, size is true to the advertised description, and overall it performs exactly as it should. It's held up well through multiple wind storms and quite a bit of rain over the last couple months. (To be fair though, I always spray down my artificial plants liberally with Scotchgard and silk sun protection. Easily doubles the life of silk outdoor plants.) 10/10 would repurchase.
This fern has a lot of fronds and is very thick. The leaves have a nice appearance and overall the plant looks realistic. However, many of the fronds were bent, and I spent some time using a hairdryer to try to straighten the bent pinnules. I found that it helped to blow from the backside of a frond as well as the front, and also combined some hand pressing although the air from my hairdryer gets quite hot so I have to be careful with that. I have a pair of ferns from a different company which have an excellent leaf form that doesn't have this tendency for the pinnules to get bent. However, those ferns don't have as many fronds so they aren't as full.I think the form of this fern could be improved. It does not look like the photo shows with a nice rounded shape. It looks wonderful viewed from above or looking down on one side. But like the other ferns I received, it appears to have the lowest bottom section of the plant missing. I think it would look better if the fronds were shorter and the plant had more fullness at the "bottom"... which would be closer to the middle of the plant if the plant had more fullness.This fern is pretty and has a realistic quality with various shades of green on the fronds, although I think the coloring would be more natural if it were less bright. I will find some nice uses for this quality plant.
It has been nice to have a big fern on the porch this summer without worrying about keeping it watered. Last year, I had to remember to mist the fern frequently and water it every other day to keep it alive during the warm season. This one looks better with no care needed. I love it.
Lovely!! Wanted a fern for my patio that didn't need any watering! This one came packaged neatly in a long box. As soon as I broke the plastic, it unfurled the way you see it in the pictures. It is so big and beautiful! I literally only fluffed three leaves! It is super low maintenance. It easily went into my pot that has real dirt in it. The leaves are gfreat quality, and it has not faded at all in the last 6 weeks since I got it. Good but for the price.
