Excellent Holder & Package for Many Types of Signs!
My niece was just married last Saturday. It was a wonderful celebration that encompassed many homemade items including her dress which I made and the gifts for the guests which the bride and a friend made. But unexpectedly 2 weeks before the ceremony I saw this sign holder in my Vine items to request!! It was like they were reading my mind 😉 because we were contemplating making a sign but hadn’t done it yet. But after receiving this and seeing what the package included, I created both the Welcome sign and a sign that was on the opposite side showing the Table assignments for the guests. The sign holder/frame comes in two colors, and I requested the gold of course. The package arrived in a small box and the holder came in multiple pieces, but the directions to put them together were very easy to follow, assisted by well-marked labels on the pieces. The only problem I had putting it together was that 3 or 4 times the two pieces resisted coming together. I tapped them on a hard surface, and it worked part of the time but in two cases, I had to go get a rubber mallet that fortunately worked. I’m glad I had that, or I may not have finished putting it together. The items that accompanied the sign were wonderful! One of the pictures shows all the decorative items that were included. The ribbons were much longer than I expected and there were multiple colors. The included flowers turned out to be a long rope of ivory-colored roses and leaves. I went back into this review to add a closeup picture of the flowers & ribbons so you can see them. We just got that picture from the wedding photographer! They looked beautiful around the Welcome sign as you’ll see on both pictures. The wedding was on the beach at the oceanfront in Virginia Beach – a beautiful day between two weekends that had terrible weather! One problem I ran into was that the grommets I had inserted by the printer of the two signs was two small for the set of leather-ish straps included (two colors, black and white). The straps are about 1 inch, but the grommets were ½ inch. We ended up using some wires to hold the sign and covered them with the flowers and ribbons. Just something to be aware of if you plan to do what I did – make sure your grommets are big enough.I don’t know if I’ll use this again, but it was a wonderful item to accompany a beautiful wedding!
