Mother of the Year, My Son Loves his New Rug!
So my son is studying at Harvard and wanted a Cow Skin rug for Christmas and I sent him this one. This is what he had to say about it...Me: So you like the brown with the black? Nice cowhide
It looks great and the pattern and quality of the hide are very nice. The one I received is closer to 5x5 than 6x6 though I suspect they all vary in size. My cat thinks it's the best thing he's ever seen and has not left the hide since we received it. All in all, 4 stars from me for being a touch on the smaller side and 6 stars from my cat for being a soft dead thing he can lay on.

Smell

I loved the look of this rug
Don't buy this rug. I loved the look of this rug, soft and attractive to look at. It had an odd smell that at first I thought would go away in time. However, it has only gotten worse as time goes by. It has been 3 months now, and I can't even stand it when it is outside on the patio now. Forget on my living room floor. What a waste of my money.

It didn't air out over a weekend so it had to go back. this is the third one i've tried to buy for my home off of amazon. i don't think they sell quality hides. I ended up using the sunlandhomedecore.com instead. - good quality and you shop from ACTUAL photos of the ACTUAL hide you are buying.

The rug is beautifully tanned and of uniform thickness
I expected a brindle pattern as in the photo but got something entirely different. The rug is beautifully tanned and of uniform thickness. Unfortunately it is black and white spotted and looks like the pelt of the family milk cow.
