Nice fit and solid protection

I have the IKEA Finnala sleeper sofa and needed something to protect it from my pets. This cover feels really soft and seems like it will hold up well against liquids. It fits perfectly across the couch, though the top corners are a little loose since my sofa isn’t the exact shape the cover was designed for but that’s totally fine. My main priority was protection, and it delivers. Plus, it looks cozy and stylish once I add pillows and a throw blanket. It was a breeze to put on. It helped to pull the sofa out a little to reach behind it. The dowels are nice to keep it from not moving too much. I couldn’t get them to fit into the sides, so I tucked them around the back pillows. It definitely helps the cover look more secure and tight against the sofa.

Pleasantly surprised!

I didn't expect much after many failed Amazon purchases in this category BUT I was pleasantly surprised at how wonderful this couch cover was! It fits like a glove, looks fancy, the waterproof backing appears to be quality but I have yet to test it. The fabric is soft and a nice thickness and the tiny square print is really cute. It was super easy to put on and the tags telling you which end is which was incredibly helpful! After tucking the foam rolls in place, which keeps it from sliding around, it dang near looks like the actual couch fabric and not just a cover. I got it on sale so the deal price just makes it all the better! Now I need to catch the other sizes on sale so I can cover the whole frontroom and maybe even the loveseat in the bedroom too!

This is a nightmare to wash and not fully waterproof

I have 2 covers on my sofa. This one and a fabric one on top that claims to be water resistant and not waterproof like this one. I decided to get this one because my dog would move the other one to the side and get cozy on the bare couch leaving all her hair and doggie smells on it. It has worked great for what I intended. However, today my opinion shifted. When I woke up, I found she'd had a surprising pee accident on the couch - first time ever in 12 years... is this a senior dog thing that will become our life now?! - anyway, the pee went through the water resistant cover which was heavily soaked, but it held so much pee that the new cover didn't get too wet on top. So I was super happy and felt great until I took it off the couch to get it in the washer and realized that the couch was humid and smelled like pee as well. What a downer! Can you imagine if I hadn't had 2 couch covers?So I put it in the washer and once the cycle completed it was still soaking wet because the waterproof material makes it be that way, which in turn makes it super heavy to manage. Now I can't put it in the dryer because the instructions say it will damage the waterproof liner, but I also don't have any space on my house to spread open an XL couch cover that is super heavy and will be dripping god knows how much water into my floors and furniture.So depending on what you want this for it may be great for you or not. But if you wanna wash it, I hope you have a big clean garage and no frozen shoulder or bursitis or any such thing. Hope this helps!
