low pile rug, surprisingly softer than i thought. easy to clean, but does get stuck under the vacuum so either use your feet to hold down sections or use low powered vacuums. i’m using this in my gaming room on hardwood flooring - had no issues of it slipping even when it was used by itself. my chair rolls smoothly over top of it. have had it for about a week so far and no issues to report.
