Nice But Way Too Short To Look Nice- Need Two

I had a nice sheer 3 piece valance on my dining room window, but I had to bring in a large jasmine vine for the winter. That means I need a shorter valance for the winter. Our room is yellow so I wanted to get something cheerful to counteract the gray winter days.FABRICThis is a nice sheer fabric which is almost semi-sheer but leans more toward sheer. It has nice texture and looks pretty in the window.COLORThis is the color of intenese well, intense urine, I guess. (not trying to be gross) It is a golden yellow anyway. The sheer part makes it look golden while letting the light in.WIDTHMy window is 36 inches. I thought this would be big enough to get the 60 inch valance. Unfortunately it is too short and does not look nice. I have ordered a 2nd piece just like it to put on the rod. The fullness will look much nicer on the window.ROD POCKETI have this on a U shape rod, but wanted it shorter. So, I am going to sew down the center of the large rod pocket so that the ruffle will be larger at the top. That will shorten it about an inch which I would like.LIGHTThis lets in light but gives it a nice golden hue. This is really nice in the winter, especially on sunny days. It really brightens the room.THE BOTTOM LINEThis is nice curtain, but I suggest two panels if your window is around 36 inches like mine.MY RATINGFOUR STARS. I wish there was a better bottom hem and that the valance came with two pieces. It looks better fuller. Still it is pretty nice and I like the color.
