They're beautiful and well-made.

The fabric is fine-textured and they are in my estimation about 80% blackout, even with the light color. The vanilla looks like sand to me, the exact color of sand on the Pacific in fact. The only reason I returned them is that I don't have a curtain rod with strong hardware; I bought a tension rod. They are too heavy for the one I have. They're also a bit long for my window which is an odd size. But if you want good insulation and you have an appropriate way to hang them, they're an incredible value.
