Nice looking, good quality, dark drapes

These blackout curtains in (medium) brown are good quality, and do a great job of darkening a room. I have them hung to prevent glare on a computer screen when I'm working from home (and just possibly to make the room dark for an occasional daytime nap), and they do the trick nicely. Of course some light leaks out if they aren't closed completely, and around the edges/top of the drapes, but any regular blackout curtains will have that issue without special additions. I've seen darker blackout curtains, but they cost hundreds of dollars.They're layered and about the weight I'd expect for the fabric density and layers. The fabric looks nice and has a good heft to it with all of the layers taken together. The outdoor-facing lining is white, and there's a black layer for better darkening ability. I like the brown color I chose. It's what I would call a medium brown and the pattern is pretty classy. The stitching all seems fine to me. I'm no drapes expert, but the stitching seems secure and professional.They do provide some sound dampening, although it's mostly from deadened interior noises (they're not reflecting sound the way a wall or glass does) rather than from outside noises. The room feels...blanketed with them on the window while their drawn.I think they'll help with heat in the summer by blocking the sunlight. It's winter now and the room feels less drafty with them in place. My central air vent is right over this window and I'm sure I'm losing less heat to the outdoors now that I have them.My bedroom looks a little classier with them in place, and the brown combines nicely with my oak, walnut, and cherry furniture. The value is good for the quality and although there is some difference in pricing for larger sizes, it's not significant.I'm happy with these!

Wanted to love these, but I'm on the fence

The heft of the material is great, making it feel more substantial quality. The photos of gradient ombre effect still feel like all taken in bright to brightest light, making reality view look like the top is just slightly faded. There's not enough contrast IMO. For the price, I'm not sure I love them. On the fence about returning. Light blocking is great.

Luxury Damask Blackout Curtains!

Pretty impressed by the outcome of these blackout curtains! I've been wanting to update curtains in one of our rooms. I specifically was hoping to find ones that have a good amount of thickness to help prevent some of this cold Iowa weather from infiltrating our house from those frigid temps. After searching and comparing different possibilities, I found this pair of curtains made by a company called DWCN store. Based on the visual presentation and product specs, this appeared to be the right dimensions and so I ordered this set to try out. Now that I do have these home, zero regrets. Effective Blackout Curtains That Block Light Well

These blackout curtains perform great at blocking sunlight completely, even on bright days. I hung them on my existing two-inch rod, and they went up easily with no issues. The material is thin, which keeps them lightweight and simple to handle, but it still does the job perfectly for light control.The texture feels nice, and the overall design and details are good quality. They match the product photos accurately. I did not notice at first, but there is a gradual color change from lighter at the top to darker at the bottom, which is more obvious now after having them up for a while.The only downside is that they are very noisy when you open or close them. The fabric rustles and crinkles a lot against itself. Other than that, they work well and I am happy with how they turned out in my room.
