Works great! Definitely darkens the room and living in the desert requires that. Length was as expected and they look really nice with the satin-like material. Totally seems to keep the window cool or hot when needed!
I use this curtain to block off a hallway for guest privacy. Just used a shower curtain tension rod and wala complete privacy for the gust bedrooms and bath. Only thing I added was in the bottom loop I slipped in a couple of fishing sinkers and stapled in place. This keeps the curtain in place when the hvac cycles.
After spending days trying to find blackout curtains that were wide and long enough I finally found them. Not only do they serve the purpose I needed them for, they are extremely high quality for the price you pay. They even the brightest light (I tested using high lumen flashlights) and the fabric is also extremely smooth to touch. It’s large and exactly what I needed for my room.

Using as a privacy curtain into the living room since front door is close by. Teens love this to give some privacy without a door being closed! Thick and light blocking!
This is the second variation of the curtain bought. The first one is 10'x7' with this one being 12'x7'. The usage is not to hang on the window but to be used as a room divider.The width and length are right, although this one appear to be a tad longer. When hung on the same pole, it dragged more on the floor than the previous one. The material also felt like it was not weaved as tightly. The touch is, surprisingly, just as soft was the old one.For the actual light blocking ability, it is no where close to blackout, it is more of a damping of the light. The darkness is not even close to the black.This curtain is a good divider, soft to the touch and pretty accurate on the dimension. Avoid this if you are looking for a true blackout curtain.
