The candle was beautiful and the smell was amazing.
I love this candle,I bought it for my mother in law and she is going to love it too
This cross-shaped candle is everything. I am going to make a Prayer Nook in my home for quiet meditation and prayer and I had to have this when I saw it.Packaging - Gift-ready, beautiful box and surrounded in paper. It's also tightly wrapped in a plastic film. A touch of greenery under the plastic elevates the presentation.Wood - Thick and heavy. As you can see in the picture it is well wider than my finger. So smooth - no rough edges at all.Size - The description says 14" and I used a tape measure before getting it because - that's pretty big for the area I wanted it. No worries. It doesn't look nearly as big as you would expect it. I think when you take into consideration it's not square or rectangular and has rounded-points.Candle - The candle encompasses the ENTIRE bowl - and I mean up to the very edges of the top. And perfectly poured - no bubbles or uneven areas. 6 wicks which is great for an even burn. 1 is located at the 'head', 1 at each of the 'hands', 1 at the 'feet' and 2 proportionately positioned in the center - again, to ensure an even burn.Scent - OMGOSH! I could smell this candle BEFORE I even opened the box! I mean, I opened the Amazon box to get to the next box which the candle was in and I could smell it! The scent is floral - not overpowering but not weak either. It's STILL in the box and it's been a few weeks since I've received it and I can smell it every time I enter the room. I LOVE it.There is absolutely NOTHING to dislike about this cross-shaped candle. Whether as a gift or for yourself you can't go wrong. So beautiful, you can display it anywhere.I am over the moon to own this.
When I opened the parcel, the subtle scent of the Dough Bowl Prayer Candle wafted across the room. It’s gentle, yet robust. You know how some candles are overwhelming, overstimulating, and over-scented? Well, this is not one of them! I’m extremely sensitive to scent and I get headaches easily, but I’ve comfortably sat with this candle for over an hour. The wood seems to be olive, but I’m not 100% sure (and it doesn’t say so in the description). I’m interested in how I’ll use the vessel once the wax burns down. I’m particularly interested in how I’ll remove any residual wax or if it’ll burn clean.I’m considering a few for gifts. Also, this candle is not a quick burner! It has a way of filling the room without being overwhelming (nice scent throw) and the wax is melting at a slow-to-moderate pace. I’m quite pleased with it. I was going to tally the hours, but I realised it’s going to take a while.
This candle is so cute, I had to have it as soon as I saw it. The price is amazing compared to local boutiques as well. My huge issue is the smell. Not lit it fills the room with this 100 year old grandma baby powder moth ball smell and it is not a good smell! Thats with it not even lit I couldn't imagine lighting this! The candle is so cute I can't understand why they used this scent.
This is a beautiful piece, with a multi-wick candle in a reusable wooden bowl. It seems to be of a very good quality and would make a gorgeous gift for a person or couple who enjoy displaying their Christian faith. It comes in a box and is presented wrapped in tissue paper inside the box with the candle over wrapped in shrink plastic, a presentation that would be suitable for wrapping it as a gift. The candle has a very strong floral scent—it is a good scent in that it seems to have been made with good quality scenting oils, not cheap air freshener stuff, but it just happens to be a scent that does not appeal to me. I personally would have preferred something more universal, such as vanilla, a light citrus, or something biblical like frankincense, and I took off a star for that reason. However, I do look forward to having the cross-shaped bowl to decorate with once the candle is burned out.
