Good quality, easy enough to install, with a fine finished look when complete.

This curtain rod gives a nice amount of room for the more formal curtains I used with it. The front rod has enough space from the rear to allow both curtains to gather nicely, giving a sense of richness and depth to the fabric which was limited by my prior rod set. The brackets are sturdy, being single castings with two screw holes, one at the top and bottom. This made for a very solid mounting, able to easily handle the weight of my jacquard curtains. For the price, these did a decent job. The finials are resin castings, with metallic paint, but that’s not obvious from the floor.The model I chose consisted of 3 parts for the rods: a center section slightly larger diameter than the sides, with the side parts sliding into it. This made it easier to load the curtains as the brackets only load from the sides. You have to add the curtains after the middle rod section is in place, then extend the side rods into the side brackets. Then tighten the adjustment screw to hold them in place. Then add the finials as the last step. This means a fair amount of ladder work, but the finished appearance was quite nice.Overall I am quite satisfied with the value and finish of these double curtain rods, and would get them again if I do another formal room.

Brackets and 2 piece rod are a beautiful design

I choose this one over other similar black double rods for 2 reasons; 1. Brackets are more decorative. 2.there is just 2 rods that connect behind center bracket vs having several shorter pieces that screw together. This gives a more seamless finished look. I wanted the black rod to accent window treatment so these 2 features were important. These 2 features alone make it much worth the couple extra dollars I paid. I guess this design feature is what limits it to only being available in 2 sizes. Its sturdy with a beautiful matte finish. The finials have just a touch of brass gold color.
