Sturdy Rod with Nice Finials!

Our home has a wall of windows that overlook our backyard and beyond. Depending on the time of year, the bright sun causes too much glare (on our TV screen!). We have "light filtering" blinds, but they weren't doing enough to cut the glare. It was time to add some curtains to block the sunlight as needed. The windows are over 10 feet wide, and I was concerned about finding a sturdy curtain rod for this expanse.I saw this Hosmile One Inch Double Curtain Rod that could expand to 12 feet and decided to order it. The rods can accommodate up to 40 pounds! Full disclosure: I used one rod (instead of two) and bought new hardware for use with the one rod. This is in no way an issue with the double rods or their unique brackets--I simply changed my mind about using additional sheers.The rods are made from a strong iron, fit seamlessly together to form a longer rod, and are saturated in their colorway--I chose Dark Bronze. The faux marble finials look "real" and give an expensive finish to the curtain rods. Check out my photos to see for yourself. The curtain grommets glide easily over the rod's smooth finish for quick opening and closing as needed.I am very pleased with these Hosmile curtain rods and know I will be able to use the "leftover" one somewhere in my home.

Finally a double rod that doesn't sag in the middle

I’ve been looking for a solid double curtain rod for my oversized living room window for ages, and most of the ones I found at the local big box stores felt really flimsy once you extended them past 100 inches. This 72-144 inch set is actually heavy duty like it says. The 1 inch diameter on both the front and back rods makes a huge difference in stability. I have some pretty heavy blackout drapes on the front and sheer curtains on the back, and the aluminum alloy brackets hold everything up without any noticeable bowing or bending.The dark bronze finish looks really high-end and the resin marbled finials add a nice touch that isn't too over-the-top. It was pretty easy to get the telescoping rods adjusted to the exact 12ft width I needed, and the hardware that came with it actually felt sturdy enough to trust. It’s nice to find a set that includes everything you need for a wider window without having to buy extra support brackets separately. Stylish, and Sturdy

I was looking for a nice double Curtain Rod for a large double door that isn't used often, but can move curtains aside if needing to use the double door and open it. The current setup we have is a singular rod, that is just not well supported and sags quite a bit not making a very good appearance. I came across this curtain rod which was a double so we can put a light curtain and a blackout curtain on it as well. I must say this was perfect for our needs. No longer do we need to worry about pulling down the older curtain rod we were using because of how weak it was, This one is solid. Easy to mount. Looks really nice too!Price is pretty fair for what you get, and a few styles to choose from. If looking for a double curtain rod, you can't go wrong with this at all. Really happy I got this.

Unique and Strong Curtain Rod

These are pretty nice curtain rods. The finish is smooth and seems to be durable. The finials are really intricate and unique. The finials screw into the ends of the rods and feel very secure. The mounting brackets are cast metal so they won't bend like the typical sheet metal brackets found on other curtain rods. I like that the rods are secured to the brackets with set screws. They do a better job at keeping the rods from sliding than the screws that come in from the back on other curtain rods. The price is also reasonable for the size and quality.However, there are areas that could be improved. First, the top mounting bracket hole is too close to the loops that hold the rods, requiring the mounting screw to be installed at an angle. This can cause the bracket to sit crooked when it's installed.Second, the set screws that secure the rods come in from the top of the bracket, making them difficult to tighten if you install the rods close to the ceiling. Thankfully, an Allen wrench is provided so it can be sacrificed and cut down for better clearance.Third, the outer rods are a smaller diameter than the inner on the long set, so if you mount all brackets at the same height the rods will be slightly out of level. If I had to install again I would mount the outer brackets slightly higher to compensate. Instead, I installed a shim between the rod and bracket ring at all four points on the outer brackets.All and all, a nice looking and strong curtain rod at a good price.
