Decent decorative books, not wholly realistic

At a glance these could probably be perceived as real books, especially when viewed spine-side out. Unless someone was inspecting them closely or physically touched them, they pass pretty well. The beige book is slightly smaller and the title 'LIFE STYLED' is believable enough. It sounds like a plausible name for a self-help book. The green book is title 'Arts and Crafts' which is a bit less believable, because it's almost too generic of a name. Either way the name is not very legible unless viewed from the exact right angle because of the shiny gold font.I like the fact that these double as hidden storage. That was kind of the main draw for me. I don't really have a need for fake decorative books. The books are nice and roomy and could easily fit items like phones, remotes, and various small knick-knacks. The lids must have magnets because they snap closed nicely and don't hang open. The books are VERY light but again, this shouldn't be discernable at a quick glance. I don't care for the 'pages' of the books because they're just smooth white paper, and don't at all resemble real pages. This is a big giveaway and makes it necessary to keep the books turned backwards or surrounded by other items to hide the lack of real pages. You can store the books upright, which makes the 'pages' easier to hide, but it's harder to store items in them this way.

Minimalist decor to store trinkets

These hollow books are quite nice, very minimalist as decor so they would look fine in pretty much any home. They are a little cheaply made - there was some dried glue residue on one of the books, on the faux pages (though it would be completely hidden if it's put on a bookshelf with the spine facing out alongside other books) and the gold lettering rubs off with the lightest scratch.Additionally, the faux pages are pretty clearly just flat strips of white paper, so it's easy to tell they aren't real books when you look closely enough. They do close with hidden magnets though, which keeps the lid on fairly securely.As simple decor and discreet storage for small trinkets, they serve their purpose just fine. If the covers and spine aren't to your taste, they seem like they'd be easy to personalize with some simple craft supplies and glue though, which could be a fun side project to play around with.
