These bulldog bookends are absolutely adorable and surprisingly sturdy. The gold finish looks classy and adds a nice decorative touch to my shelves while still being functional. They have a good weight to them and easily hold up heavier books without sliding around. I currently have the Harry Potter set sandwiched in between them and these hold them together well.I really like the anti-slip base—it keeps everything in place and protects the shelf surface. Really nice, unique statue bookends. Good for paperback books, not heavy hardcovers.

I bought these for my bookcase while doing some redecorating. I like small, subtle elements of gold mixed in with other natural elements like books and textured fabrics, and was struck by the whimsical poses of these bulldog statues. They are made of resin and painted a shiny gold. They are perfect for my space in my library den and are heavy enough to be effective bookends for paperback books and small hardcovers. I have to say they are not VERY heavy. I have areas of my bookcases with large hardcover books and coffee table books, and these bookends do not hold them up. As with all items like this, make sure you check the dimensions to make sure they will fit with your setting (I would call them medium-sized).

Nicely weighted bookends with a wonderful bulldog design...

I am one of those people that love books. I am always in need of a good set of bookends. This set is nicely designed to be bulldogs. Who doesn't love a bulldog? They are well weighted and will hold up a heavy stack of books. I used them on two different shelves, but they can be used together to anchor from either side. Sometimes, cheaper bookends will slide, but these have stayed in place. They add a nice touch to my collection. I wish I ordered another set!

These work well as desk accent pieces as well. The gold color is uniform, but the underlying structure may have some dimples or speckles. They are sturdy pieces, each weighing a pound or two and about the size of 2.5 soda cans placed side by side. I like how they look. Fun buy, maybe a little pricey for bookends.

These book ends are absolutely adorable! They’re fairly heavy for its size so they are able to hold up books without sliding away. I was actually using one as a door stop for a short period because my door has a big gap at the bottom that doesn’t accommodate a regular doorstop. The quality is very good, even color tone all over. The detail is very fine and the felt on the bottom adds a nice touch to prevent scratching on your table or bookshelf. This would make a great gift for any occasion.

As life long dog lovers, and very proud parents of an English-French Bulldog mix, we had to add this set of classic Bulldog bookends to our den bookshelves. The beautifully sculpted bulldog pose reminds us so much of our 3 year old rescue pup’s mother. The details are well done, especially the smoochie face, ears, and collar.I chose the goldtone set, as years ago I fell in love with a very similar solid bronze set of Bulldog bookends in a highend home decor catalog… of course, the price of the antiqued bronze set was more than quadruple the cost of this set of resin figures, but I can assure you this set from MXARLTR is every bit as detailed and functional.The set I received had a couple slight imperfections in the painted finish on one bookend’s base (a couple big permanent thumb/fingerprints). This was no bit deal to me, since I intend to eventually “antique” this set with a metallic rubbed bronze finish.Overall, this is a wonderful set of decorative bookends for a very fair price point. They arrive thoughtfully packaged in custom molded styrofoam forms, secured inside a sturdy factory cardboard box. Great gift idea!
