Works well for what they are intended for

The quality is pretty good. It’s not a safe but it’s not meant to be one either. I really wish at least one of the books had styrofoam or something that I could cut out so everything in the book doesn’t just slide to the bottom. Ultimately that’s why it’s a 4 star. I also dropped a star off because I don’t like pictures that are misleading. Most of the photos are of the books being flat which can mislead you to thinking your stuff won’t be in a big pile at the bottom once you store the book.ProsStrong enough magnetFeels sturdy enoughCan be put with other books and they mostly don’t stand out if you want it to hide itemsConsEverything falls to the bottom when you stack them uprightEven though the books are fairly thick you’re still limited on putting mostly thin items in it (not the fault of the item. Just be aware of it)If you’re going to use it to keep a few treasures from a trip then I think it’s a pretty good buy. Just be aware everything will fall to the bottom if you stack them upright. Also keep in mind that you have the thickness of a little more than a deck of cards so you’re mostly going to put in photos or really thin items. Again, I feel like the photos give the item a false sense of how you will use it. Many of the photos are of the book laying flat with many items perfectly fitting in the book. I just don’t see these books being stored flat like that and everything will fall to the bottom in a pile as soon as you turn them upright. Is that a big deal? Probably not, but be aware of it. I suppose if they sent the books with some sort of foam I could have easily complained that there isn’t enough space with a foam insert so maybe there is no perfect option.I do want to add that if you’re buying these just to hide stuff they do work ok for that. If you bought a couple travel books and put them next to them they would mostly fit right in as a normal book. The perfect spine is kind of a clue that it’s not a real book but unless you’re looking for it, someone will probably not notice them. Me personally, I’d stick to a safe for valuables but if you want quick access to slightly valuable stuff then these will work well.
