Very disappointed that we won't be able to use this adorable hand. The fingers we have are not together so nothing will stay unless it is thick enough to wedge between them. And sadly, whoever designed the nail area clearly has no idea how to hang things as it is installed upside down so it won't stay on the screw provided. It is a nice idea and would be perfect if the company can figure out their quality control.
This Grinch hand above my Grinch tree made the whole setup even cuter. The hand itself is adorable and very well made. My only complaint is the oddly shaped cutout for the anchor screw—it didn’t work well, so I had to attach it another way. I tried Command Tape, but the hand is pretty top-heavy and it eventually pulled away from the wall. I ended up folding a piece of paper and tucking it under the bottom of the sleeve for support, and it hasn’t budged since.
This Grinch hand/forearm as others mentioned, has screw holes that are inverted, BUT I found a way to make it work by purchasing a 1/2 inch wooden dowel. My husband cut it down to 14 inches in length. I applied Gorilla glue to one end and stuck it in the screw-hole end of the arm. I let it dry overnight, and I added Grinch hair to the tops of the fingers with hot glue. I used 1/8 inch wide ribbon, but didn’t realize that it looks brown, so I ordered some in glitter gold. I hung a red ball 2.36 inches in diameter, and slid the arm into the Christmas tree. One of the branches holds it in place. You can use florist wire or a zip tie to hold the dowel onto a tree branch if you wish. It’s such a cute ornament!
I didn’t care for this. It’s just kind of a cheap plastic thing that goes on the wall, but if that’s what you’re looking for and you’ll love it.
