Mmmmmm smells great. Beautiful jar.

I chose this candle in sandalwood and the scent is just divine. It has that woodsy, sort of mysterious and exotic sandalwood scent. The classic sandalwood scent is definitely there, along maybe a slightly spicy and musky aroma. I just love scents like this that aren't too fruity or sweet, that instead are sort of mysterious or exotic. Sandalwood is perfect year round and my husband loves it as well (he usually complains about floral or fruity scents that are sweet). The scent fills the room nicely without being overpowering.In addition to the warm, calm, exotic aroma, this candle comes in a lovely amber jar with sort of a vintage vibe. It has a bamboo lid which is a nice addition, to keep the candle surface from getting dusty. This works well for me because the jar is so pretty that I want to display the candle, which means the candle ends up sitting out and collecting dust over time. The wax is soft and creamy, which also seems to attract dust, so I really do appreciate the lid. As mentioned, the natural soy wax is creamy. It's a lovely white color and it burns smoothly and evenly. The amber jar really takes on a golden glow when the candle is lit.The candle isn't tiny but it is not large, either. I photographed it next to a can of soup and a bottle of water, for size reference. The candle is nicely boxed and safely surrounded in foam, so it's ready for wrapping if you are looking for a gift.Overall, the sandalwood scent is warm and wonderful, and the candle is very pretty. It's a great choice.

Sandalwood is perfect

It looks like others have had varied experiences with this candle and I’m wondering if it’s the fragrance you choose.Here’s why I’m giving mine 5 stars-Packaging is thoughtful and you could give this as a gift almost without wrapping it. The glass is very pretty and textured which looks high end.I’ve done a few short burns since receiving this candle and haven’t had any issues with the wick or smoke. It burns cleanly although you should trim any candle wick after burning.Mostly I love the sandalwood fragrance. Sandalwood is tricky and often shows up as way too strong, giving me a huge headache. But I love the warmth of it. I took a chance ordering it in this candle and I’m so glad I did! Maybe the fragrance is less concentrated which would be a bummer for something lighter like rose or lavender. But it’s perfect in sandalwood. I typically burn candles on our stovetop in the man floor kitchen, and I could smell it upstairs after a few minutes.All things considered for a beautifully presented candle in a glass jar I think the current price at time of this review is fair. I cat speak to the other scents but I would order the sandalwood fragrance again for sure, especially as a gift.
