Well made crocheted gift--comes ready to gift to mom!
Well, this is just the most adorable little crocheted flower I've ever seen...that I haven't made myself! :) As an avid crocheter, I appreciate the work that went into this handmade token of affection. The stitches are well done and nice and even, and the project is well balanced so it stands up straight. It stands about 7.5 inches tall and is about 4 inches diameter at the widest point. I love that the stem and leaves are reinforced with wire, so everything stays nicely shaped. The leaves can even be bent into various positions! My only minor issue is the use of glue to attach the small pieces. I always prefer to sew on the small parts when I crochet, and use safety eyes. I never glue things, because I thing that makes the item less sturdy. However, these are very securely attached and should stay put under normal use. But, since they are only glued on, I would not let a child under 3 years old have it for safety reasons. This is a great gift for mom, for ANY occasion!
