Nice for gifting!

This bear makes a nice gift for a lover or loved one. This bear is actually really well made, solid and is a good quality item. It arrived in a nice gift box, and even had a nice little gift bag included. The rose is bright red, perfectly shaped, and really catches the eye. There is a little gold knob on the side of the bear that you can turn and the rose will rotate and a necklace will appear in it's place. The necklace isn't horrible, but it's pretty cheap. If your planning on giving this to the wife, girlfriend or to mom, I would recommend replacing the necklace with something much nicer. To remove the necklace you need to pop off the little clear plastic dome that's covering it. Bad design in my opinion, I think it would have been better to take the necklace out from a little door on the back of the bear. I can see the little plastic dome piece breaking, or not fitting back on correctly and it keeps popping off, or even getting lost pretty easily.I actually raffled off the bear I received. I work at a recreation center and gifted it to one of the kids to give to their mom for a Christmas gift "He said his mom loved it".Overall this is a nice bear to give as a gift, especially if you replace the necklace. The price is competitive and fair. I did take a star because of the necklace.

May need a little rearranging of the necklace

I got this for my son to give his fiancee as a Valentine's Day/birthday gift. It came with a gift bag, a small heart-shaped puzzle, and a red plastic bear that contains a preserved rose as well as a heart-shaped necklace. It took a minute to figure out how to rotate the rose/necklace (turn the little gold knob on the side) and, when I tried to, the necklace had slipped a bit and got caught so that it would not actually turn and, if I had forced it, it would have broken the necklace. It took another minute to figure out that I had to pop off the clear bubble to get to the necklace/rose, then to very carefully maneuver the necklace so I could turn it and remove it and reposition/tape the chain so the charm would not get caught when rotating it. I tried to shine a light through the necklace to see the words but, honestly, I couldn't see anything. I admit my eyes aren't the sharpest anymore, so it may just be me. I like the idea though. My son likes it and is sure his fiancee will too. It's different than chocolate!
