The size is as described. The print is well done and the rug is honestly soft for as flat as it is. We do not have one but a pad under might be desired if you dont have carpet already. Its not slip resistant but doesn't move much unless our cats get the zoomies haha
Went looking for a rug that’d let my boy play freely and pick up small skills—and this one works really well. The alphabet rows have him pointing and naming letters (he even links some to the tiny animal icons), the U.S. map gets him asking about “different colored states,” and the season prints make him light up when he spots the “flower = spring” part. It’s soft for him when he crawls or sits, and the backing stays put—no sliding even when he zooms across, which eases small worries about tumbles. When snacks spill or juice drips, a quick vacuum cleans crumbs, and it holds up nicely in the wash—colors don’t fade, patterns stay sharp, and there’s no pilling yet. It’s not just a play rug—it brightens the playroom, makes learning feel fun (not work), and it’s exactly the functional, kid-friendly piece I hoped for.

I have a 3-year-old who loves airplanes. Instead of buying a plastic airport set, I purchased this rug. He absolutely loves it and plays with it every day. The great thing about a rug is that planes of all sizes can be played with.This is a quality rug that is a decent size - pretty large for the price. Even model, pull back planes work on this rug.
