Pretty solid curtain rods considering the price and you don't have to screw them in place!

I find these when was looking for some curtain rods to put in my kids' rooms to replace the ones that recently broke and didn't want to spend a lot. The quality surprised me, they aren't high quality or anything, but they are better than other options in this price range. The decorative ends are plastic, which is to be expected, but they stand out as being different than the rods. The rods are painted metal and thicker than I expected them to be. Unlike other curtain rods where one is smaller than the other allowing them to be variable in length, these screw together, which isn't bad, but does limit the amount of control on the size. The hooks are convenient to hang and give the option to use the adhesive backs on them as opposed to screwing them into the wall. That said, the plastic grip on them to hold the rod in place is way too tight and it makes it very difficult to get it out once it is in place. Overall these are decent considering the price and I will likely get more as the need arises.

Works great so far.

I've had this curtain rod up for almost 2 weeks now, on my new composite Anderson door, and am thrilled with it so far. Drilling into this door would have voided the warranty, so we had to find something that would hold our curtain. I read the reviews (as always) and saw a few people had some issues with it not staying up. I figured if that happened to me, I'd get some double-stick Gorilla tape & MAKE it stick! I don't like fussing around with returns if I can make it work some other way. I mean, what if I have to return 2 or 3 before I find one that sticks, when all I have to do is use my creative mind & come up with something that works? So if this let's go, sometime down the road, I'll MAKE it work. For now, it's doing great. Yay me!

Amazing product! Very sturdy

We have these beautiful cathedral windows and we didn't want to put holes in the rim or walls around them. We landed on this no drill mount and holy we did. I've never seen a larger rod before with a strong enough sticky mount. This one is great. Has a very large and durable adhesive area. Be sure to measure properly and have a level the first time because once you apply pressure it's pretty much stuck where you put it. It's easy to assemble and easy to adjust size. The mounts have an awesome lock in mechanism so once you place the rod it doesn't just pop out or move around! This is a very high quality product and Is well worth the money! Highly recommend. I didn't use all of the rods so I'll be saving them in case we need a large size use in the future. For reference we are using medium weight 54 inch curtains and it's holding perfectly. I think this would hold a longer and heavy duty curtain with ease.

Flimsy materials. Awkward design. Not all metal. Painted gold-ish. Not recommended.

This curtain rod is much flimsier than I was expecting. The metal rods have very thin walls, the finials are made of a delicate plastic, and the mounting hooks are plastic with only a single screw hole. The curtain rod doesn't fit into the mounting hooks, instead having to be violently snapped in and locked by a clear plastic piece that I can't imagine will survive doing this more than a few times.The finials cannot be removed, meaning that they cannot be replaced with metal ones, and the entire rod needs to be taken apart just to switch out the curtain on it. The amount of pressure needed to mount and remove the rod from the wall will also put much more strain than the single screw in each side can handle.The entire design feels like it was created by someone who just saw a curtain rod in a magazine once and tried to copy it, without ever having the lived experience of using a curtain rod themselves. It's almost surreal and Twilight Zone-esque.It's good enough for me to start out with in a room that doesn't have any curtain rod yet, but I will be looking to upgrade from this curtain rod as soon as possible.As for the color, it is a pale gold achieved with metallic paint. It would not be a good match for rooms with brass fixtures due to the significant color difference. The paint is going to rub off over time as curtains move across it.Overall, I would only recommend this curtain rod to those on an extremely tight budget, who fully understand that this is not a "buy it for life" product. It is not durable and will need to be replaced in a couple years of use.
