Good quality curtain rod - easy installation

Despite a long length, this curtain rod is fairly sturdy, attached using three of the brackets. My only minor quibble is that the screw that tightens to hold the rod in place where is sits in the bracket is hard to turn with the bracket in place. I had to try to use a pair of pliers, which wasn't easy given the tight quarters. If they made the thumb screw knob slightly larger, it would work better. Still, I would buy these again.

Scratched/Poor coupling section design

I purchased several of these 1" curtain rods for multiple rooms and I was a knucklehead for not reading "all" of the reviews first. Every rod was scratched....I mean all of them. I don't know why as they're individually wrapped which leads me to believe their QA isn't what it's supposed to be. It appears they are not inspected before they are wrapped and shipped. Additionally, the junction where the rods are screwed together is inadequate. The male&female threads are too thin and when tightening them together actually strips the threads and will not create a secure seam/joint. The positive side is they are made of a heavier gauge metal which is a plus and a must for black out curtains.I'm going to try and use a felt marker on the scratches and see if that works. Also, make sure to use the supplied wall mounts in the center and obviously....both ends. I'll see how sturdy they hold up once mounted and report back.
