Whoa! That was the first thing that came from my mouth when I pulled out the first piece. It was heavy and solid. You can see it from the thickness, without even holding it. When they say heavy duty, they mean it. I was very pleased with this. The arrangement of the rod I needed supported will be from one corner of a wall to the other. This is a room with 3 walls of glass. I love the sunniness but want to have some solitude in that room in the evenings. It is a solid rod, meant to carry heavy drapes. Now I know that it will be able to stand the challenge. The brackets that grip the rod are adjustable to what looks about 2 in. So the girth of the rod should not be an issue. There is a strong screw there for adjustment. The screws meant to hold the bracket to the wall have the reinforcing plastic sleeves to keep things steady in drywall. I feel my rod is going to be secure, and remain in place. This company cares about quality. I feel perfectly secure in my choice.

Durable but rough looking around the edges
These are very durable brackets. The definitely carry weight so you want to make sure that where you are placing them can hold weight. My only thing is the picture. The brackets in the photo looks nice and smooth type of silver. The ones I got looks rough and a darker type of silver. Still good quality I just think the ones in the picture stands out more.
