Perfect Mother's Day gift

Alabaster is something that Egypt is known for. They make statues out of it. In the Bible there's even a mention of alabaster oil. Which was very expensive oil that was poured from an alabaster jar.I like how sturdy it is. Despite its slick, polished look, It has excellent brightness. I use a low lighting level at night, And it fits right in.Be aware that this one is a bit on the hefty side. However for the amount of money that you're going to get you're getting a very beautiful piece. It's well worth it.

It’s beautiful but.....

Like others have noted, it doesn’t really have much of a pattern. I guess you are lucky if you get one that looks like the seller’s image. I have two other alabaster candles from other sellers and one of them is also pretty plain. Even so, the seller does disclose that this is a natural stone and each will look different. Just wish they’d show a range of examples in the photos. That said, I do love this holder and it still casts a lovely glow even with an LED votive.

Very Nice Alabaster

I have five of these and I really like them. The quality of the Alabaster is very fine, and they are highly polished. I read some complaints about the color, do not expect them to all look the same. Alabaster is a mineral and each piece will have its own unique striations. I have some with many striations that look beautiful in daylight when not burning, I also received a couple with few or no variations in color, personally I find these very attractive also, I love the look and feel of fine quality Alabaster. That being said when burning in a dark room they all look great especially the ones that have no color variation. When burning a non colored tea light which is what I recommend the candle holders have a warm milky glow that is very pleasing. I have some smaller alabaster holders from another vender that look murky orange when burning with the same tea lights, I think the quality of the stone is not as good or maybe its just from a different location.I did receive one that got chipped in shipping I think because the chipped piece was inside the holder when I opened the box, that said this vender also gets 5 stars for customer service as they replaced it with no expense to me, they also offered a refund which I declined as I preferred a replacement. I really like these and the vender stands behind their product. I just ordered another.
