Smell Awful; No Crackle

The presentation of these is excellent: nice box suitable for gifting; candles are surrounded in hard foam. But most importantly, all 4 smell pretty terrible, IMO. I love masculine, woodsy scents, so I bought these for myself.I still gave it a try and chose the one I thought was most tolerable (sandalwood & oud). I had trouble getting it to stay lit; it finally worked on the third try. But it did not crackle whatsoever. Total fail of a wood wick. The scent I thought was tolerable when cold became awful once lit.They ARE a good value as long as you like the scents and don't mind if it doesn't crackle. I returned them. Very disappointed. The adage, "You get what you pay for" applies. :(
