So versatile!

Every time I think I've exhausted the places I need these Cozy Den Non Slip Rug Gripper Pads, I find another one. So far, I have put them under four area rugs in my home. They are so easy to install. There are cutting and laying guides on the backs, and the squares cut easily with any pair of shears, even my old kitchen ones. I've used carpet corner grippers with a similar type of adhesive in the past, so I am confident these are not going to damage my hardwood floors. The little square carpet grippers I used to use had adhesive on both sides, and while the adhesive would come right up with it from the floor, the same was not true when the adhesive side was pulled away from the rugs, so I appreciate the way the carpet tops on these squares use friction instead to keep my rugs in place. The best part is that you can pull them right up and then stick them back down again over and over. This is the Rolls Royce of adhesives.I haven't tried it yet this way, but these would probably be great in a bathroom to keep those necessary but dangerous bathmats from slipping out from under you. One thing I can't recommend is using these on their own as a rug in a location where you would be barefoot though; they're too rough in my opinion to be comfortable. They do, however, add a little bit of softness underneath my rugs, which I appreciate. I like their suggestion of using these as you might use carpet squares in a garage, and I think that is where I'll try them next. In a home with Seniors, I think these might be a great way to still have a softness underfoot in strategic locations without having to worry about a trip hazard.Rug pads are expensive, and if you buy them like I do to mainly keep area rugs in high-traffic areas from getting moved around by your pets, roomba, or your own feet, it can be frustrating to have to replace them every few years when they start sliding around again. I've never started from a point of zero movement like these though, and I'm optimistic that these are going to last much longer than the traditional rubber-backed pads I've been using, which for me promises to make them a really good value. My only ask is that they come up with a sturdier packaging, for those of use who take our time working out where to put the squares. I had to wrap packing tape around the thin plastic shrinkwrap so it wouldn't completely fall apart and I could store my leftover pieces.UPDATE: I am still loving these, several months later. I rarely have to readjust rugs that I used to have to readjust almost daily. These are absolutely worth it, in my opinion.

These work extremely well and can easily be trimmed to custom shapes

These rug gripper pads are fantastic! I’ve put them on both my wood floors and linoleum and the adhesive is strong enough to hold the gripper in place, yet allows for easy repositioning as needed.Each pad has a grid on the reverse side which allows for an easy guide to cut along when making custom shapes. I was a bit unsure when looking at the pads initially, thinking to myself that these were more a carpet square and not a gripper pad. I’m happy to report how very wrong I was…they are great gripper pads and they add a nice loft to the rugs which, for us, is an added benefit being that the rugs we needed a gripper for were in front of sinks. My point is that it somewhat acts as a fatigue mat so it’s something to be aware of if you need your rugs to lie completely flat.I’ll suggest that they are pricey, at least at the time I ordered them. I’ve briefly looked at prices for like type products and they are a bit more expensive. That said, these adhere extremely well, they are well made, and they work. I can’t compare to other full size gripper pads but what I’ve seen, these come is small enough squares that can either be trimmed to your rug size or you can place them in any grid pattern for larger sized room rugs.I like them and even though they cost a bit much, you receive 20 pieces of 2’x2’ squares which cover a large amount of floor space or other places you might have need. Personally, I keep white rugs on my washer and dryer and I easily used the grid on the back to custom cut grippers pads to keep those rugs from sliding. I love them and I would recommend.

We have a rug in our living room that kept slipping - including one day when our older dog tried to jump onto our couch and it slipped out from under him. He was fine, but I realized I needed a better solution.So, this is a completely different product than what I was accustomed to in the past. The roll-up kind of non-slip rug pad, which is basically just meant to help the rug to adhere to the floor, was all I had ever used. This pad comes not in a roll, but in sections that are 24 inches square, and are actually padded. We chose to put pads under the rug in our living room from edge-to-edge, and used a yardstick and a carpet knife to cut the pad down to size, which worked well.We are really happy with the product. The rug now doesn't move at all, which is great. But additionally, the extra padding it provides, is really nice! The rug sits over a tile floor, and we didn't really realize how hard it was until we put the pad down! Our dogs are enjoying it too.The first application of the product went so well that now we are going to use the remainder of the product we got in the package to put the pad under another rug. So, I will say, this product is an excellent value for the money, as the rugs we are using the pad under are both 5 feet by 8 feet. I recommend this product.
