Shocked at the quality!!

I have a genuine cowhide rug hanging on my wall in my home but I have been wanting a cowhide rug for my bedroom floor. However,I didn’t want to buy the real thing since it would be getting walked on regularly. I decided to take a chance and buy this faux one and I am SHOCKED at the quality of this rug. Besides the creasing from packaging (that I’m sure will go away) this rug looks, feels and even smells just like my genuine one, but for half the price. I am so unbelievably happy with this purchase. So much so this is my first ever Amazon review of a product, but I had to leave a review just because of how great this quality is. It also got delivered within like 12 hours of ordering. Buy this rug if you’re looking for something that’s exactly like the real thing but for half the cost!

Not the right color.

Shipped super fast, however not the color I was expecting. It is brindle, but reddish brown/darker brown. Won’t be able to use in the room I intended it for and it is very thin so probably won’t last long. Probably will stick to Etsy for leather goods from now on.

Very thin hide - safety hazard on hard surfaces

This was my 3rd cowhide rug. Much thinner than the other two. It was difficult to keep it flat on ceramic tile especially the legs. It was a nice color similar to the photo but it shed a lot. I think the thinness was the biggest problem . It would probably do better on carpet than a hard surface floor… I ended up donating it because it became a tripping hazard and we have nothing but hard surface floors. With hard surface floors we didn't want to risk someone getting hurt badly. Too many people had already stumbled or tripped and I was constantly trying to flatten it. I contacted the company early on and got no response, then posted a review and they offered a refund if returned - but we had already donated it. It had been walked on and the backing was scuffed from people tripping, we figured they they wouldn't take it back because we had no response. Then we posted a review and then they wanted it back and offered a refund. - We had already donated it for safety reasons. We're out the money but at least we're not getting sued for a fall. I recommend looking at other cowhides.
