Keeping the Peace on the Sofa
My wife picked up this Sinotalent couch cover recently because our female Maltipoo, Joy, pretty much lives on the furniture. I gave it a five-star rating because it actually stays where you put it and doesn't make the living room look like a mess. It handles the constant back-and-forth of the dog and my two daughters without sliding onto the floor every five minutes. The main thing I like is the backing. It has this anti-slip material that actually grips the sofa cushions. I’ve dealt with covers before that felt like a loose sheet you were constantly tucking back into the cracks, but this one stays planted. The fabric is thick and soft, so it provides a good barrier against whatever Joy brings in from the yard. It also washes easily. My girls are 11 and 13, so between them and the dog, stuff gets spilled or tracked in, and we can just throw this in the machine and it comes out looking fine.As for what I don't like, the "funny fuzzy" texture is a bit much for my personal taste. It’s a very specific style that wouldn't have been my first choice if I were the one shopping, but the wife really likes how it looks and feels, so I’m not going to complain too much. The 28 by 94 size fits our three-cushion setup well enough, though I wish it were just a few inches wider to wrap over the front edge a bit more.Regarding the value, it’s a solid deal. It’s a lot cheaper than having to get the sofa professionally cleaned or replaced because of pet stains and wear. It does a blue-collar job of protecting the furniture while keeping the house looking decent enough for company. It’s a practical solution for a house with a dog and kids, and it keeps my wife happy, which makes it worth the price.
