Elegant Wall Upgrade

This wall mirror serves not only a reflection piece but also a visual accent. The main reason I selected it was that I wanted an oversized mirror that would visually open up the room without appearing flimsy. I was taken aback by how premium and sturdy it felt when it arrived. I expected lightweight materials or a hollow frame for something of this size and price point, but that was not my experience at all. The first thing that caught my eye was the frame. Its brushed metal appearance provides a sleek, contemporary look. The design features a boxy and dimensional quality, with the glass set back slightly, adding depth and giving it a more architectural appearance than that of a standard flat mirror. In my office, it instantly altered the room's atmosphere by bouncing light and giving the impression of added space. Rather than merely hanging there, it makes a contribution to the atmosphere.For the most part, the quality of the reflection is adequate. I found the image to be sharp for the most part. I did notice a small area along the left side where the reflection seemed slightly distorted, resembling a subtle funhouse effect. Since it was confined to a single area, it appeared to be more of a shipping or handling issue rather than a manufacturing defect. I contacted them regarding this matter, and the support I received was seamless and comforting. This contributed to my increased confidence in the purchase as a whole. All in all, I’m quite pleased with it. It manages to appear both refined and modern without the high cost associated with many oversized mirrors, and aside from that minor distortion, it has been exactly what I hoped for. It brightens the space, gives an impression of a larger office, and possesses a visual prominence that allows it to be noticed without dominating the room. For those thinking about a large wall mirror that combines style, dimensions, and cost-effectiveness, I believe this is a valuable choice.

Elegant, modern yet classic, simple and stylish. Corners could be better, but overall impressive.

The lengths they took to package this so it would arrive safely are to be admired. This is a HUGE piece, at 6 feet tall. We were worried, but because it was so carefully wrapped, it was pristine on arrival. Mrs Aloha Friday took a lot of photos to reassure you. The mirror itself is perfect - excellent quality. Crystal clear, no distortion. The frame is sleek and elegant. It's a matte black, brushed metal, so in the light you can see the brushed texture and it adds a little interest. We have several accent pieces with black metal, including picture frames, so we had a good idea of what to expect. We were a little let down by the workmanship in the corners of the frame. They're not damaged, just not as neatly put together as they could be. You can see where the edges don't line up and have very slight gaps. It's not that visible from further away, so depending on where you put this, and how particular you are, it may or may not matter to you. I just wanted to make sure you have the information to make the best decision with. For the price, some sacrifices may need to be made. Mirrors like this can be hundreds of dollars. Mrs AF and I talked it over and decided we really love the mirror. It suits us perfectly and will look outstanding propped up against a bedroom wall after we are finished painting the room. We don't have a full length mirror there for dressing, and this will be perfect. Casual elegance. We respectfully disagree with the reviewer that said this is just a utilitarian mirror for businesses. Something like that would have a plastic or MDF frame. The elegance is in the depth of the frame. About 1" in before you hit mirror. It has a simple, minimalist style, but it HAS style. Even knowing the corners aren't as well crafted as we hoped, we'd say this is worth an investment of $125-$140. It's a heavy, quality piece overall that will last a lifetime.

An affordable big mirror

Packaging is well designed with shock blocks at each corner. The substantial frame also provides protection for the glass. The mirror can be hung either way using two of the three brackets at the back. It would have been better to include a spacer where a fourth bracket would have been placed, to ensure the mirror hangs flat against the wall. and this is where the mirror lost a star. Having said that, I did not have problems with hanging the mirror; to some extent sheer size and rigidity compensate for the lack of a spacer.The frame is quite prominent, which is a nice change from a common trend of making frames as minimal as possible. This is a businesslike mirror which is best used where a mirror is needed, rather than purely for wall decoration, being presentable rather than inspiring.
