These curtains are "faux linen" but they look great and feel expensive. I bought the white and they are bright white not "off white." Very clean and crisp. They are not light blocking but not sheer either. There is a texture to the outside which adds to the look. For the price you get two panels not just one. They were a little wrinkled out of package, but a quick ironing was all it took to get rid of them. No weird smell either! Would definitely recommend.
