Great buy. Love the look
Works great! Beautiful color! You definitely need to place something under if your burning charcoal and resin. However it held up great so far excellent quality for the price!
I love this! It's thin cast though.
I collect incense and have a number of burners of varying styles. This reminds me so much of the high-end Tibetan/Chinese burners often found in Tibetan Buddhist shops in Asia. It is absolutely beautiful and I'm thrilled to add it to my collection.Thought it is made of (very sturdy) ceramic, it almost reminds me of cast iron burners in how heavy and well-constructed it is. The outer design and especially the cover cuttings are so well done and beautiful to look at. From the side it almost looks like fox heads carved into the burner (it's not) and it has the traditional Asian-style cloud art on the lid.In terms of accessories, you are really getting value for your money here. It comes with a (thin and flimsy) metal screen as well as a single fireproof cotton for burning. If you are new to this style of burner, you can bulk buy replacement cottons and burn incense directly on top of them if you don't prefer the screen (I do both depending on my mood but I tend to be team cotton or cotton with coil holder). It also comes with thick heavy tweezers for handling cone incense or lit charcoal as well as a very weighty multi-hole small circular holder for sticks of varying sizes. You can basically burn any kind of incense in here which makes it so functional as compared to things like a coffin burner or an Indian-style holder. It will work for sticks, cones, coils, powder, palo santo, and resins/bakhoor (on lit charcoal). In terms of size, I was able to fit my 2 inch coils both inside and on the screen, as well as of course my smaller coils and cones.I am always mindful of potential fire hazards so I always place burners of this type onto another fireproof surface; here I used my metal mesh trivets. Please note that if you prefer using the cover (I do not), you will need good ventilation to get stronger smoke to come through the holes. Otherwise, in a closed room (open a window!) the smoke will basically stream out of a single hole and you will not get a very strong scent experience. It's super easy to clean and wash but if you wanted to you could even fill this with ash and stick Japanese style sticks in it for a vertical burn. It's one of my favorite pieces in my collection and I highly recommend it.Hope that helps!
Cheap materials, I think the lid might be metal but the rest seems to be plastic. I definitely would be cautious burning anything in it. I also received the wrong color after a delayed shipment.
This incense set is nice. It was less than 15 dollars which is a great price for the quality. It is heavy and durable.I used it for an incense cone, so the heat level was not a concern- those don't get hot at all. However the little heat pad was a nice addition, though it's not very pretty. It's just a piece of black felt with a foil material on the back. I think if heat were a concern, it would look nicer on a candle plate or coaster, but that's just me. I'm actually considering gluing the felt pad to the bottom so that it doesn't scratch surfaces. The little grate on the inside is cool, it keeps the ashes separate from the incense cone, and the mess contained.I liked the tongs too, they made it easy to light my incense without burning my fingers. You can see me struggle to get it upright in the video- if I had been using my fingers I definitely would have burnt myself!I also like that it comes with a holder for incense sticks.Note: my incense cone did extinguish before it was even halfway burned. So maybe air circulation is limited even with the holes in the lid. This could also be due to some external factor like humidity, but either way, burn time is something to keep an eye on. In my case I'm actually glad it extinguished early. I tend to forget that I've lit an incense and leave the room, only to return hours later and it's all burned up and I didn't get to enjoy it!This little pot goes very well with a dark academia aesthetic. I have a little mini cauldron that pairs nicely. My only complaint is that the tongs are large. If they were smaller, I could hide them in the pot when not in use.
I have struggled with what to put my charcoal burners in . One time I even Had a dish break and burn stuff . So I had High hopes for this .It looks great , just like the listing pics . I love The ornate texture . Very pretty . Perfect color for it considering the coal. Perfect size to allow air flow so it stays lit. The grate in the bottom keeps the coal from being directly on bowl itself . That helps a lot . Then there is also the felt pad underneath Just in case I guess . But even so I still Have all that on a plate since you never know . And even then I put it on the stove too since it’s heat resistant. But seeing as how this has been working great, my confidence in its protecting abilities is increasing . It’s easy to use .The top is good at diffusing the smoke. It’s I think It’s great quality . Just as expected (or just as hoped) I think It’s a good value considering the damage that could happen otherwise would be a lot more costly usually. No complaints here .
