I really liked the idea of these no-drill roller shades because the tension system makes installation super quick and easy. no tools, no screws, and no damage to the window frame.The fabric actually feels pretty good quality with a nice texture, and it blocks out light well. I also like that the top cover and bottom bar match the fabric color, so it looks clean and put together instead of cheap plastic.That said, I do believe the price is set way too high. It’s a nice shade, but not motorized, which would keep me from purchasing another to match.

measure CAREFULLY!

i absolutely love this shade, and used it to replace a fabric one that i had to manually roll up every morning. this one you simply just pull up or down. it stays where you leave it, so if you only want half the window covered you can.now, when they say measure the width of the window minus a quarter inch to determine the size you need, they mean it. the part that holds it in place doesn’t extend at all, so there’s not really a margin for error. it fit my window frame exactly, but didn’t have enough tension to actually hold it up. we ended up just cutting a square of wood and drilling it into the frame so we could use this shade. there’s a small gap, but we knew that would happen. assembly was super easy beyond that.it came with a clear plastic part that i think is supposed to be a sort of handle for the bottom of the shade? the instructions didn’t mention it, and i couldn’t figure it out so i tossed that part.it’s super good quality, great for privacy, and looks nice.

A good light-blocking shade that's durable and easy to install

This blackout shade is blessedly simple to install in just a few minutes without having to do any damage to the window frame, very renter friendly. It has a clean modern look with the valance covering on the top of the shade and the lack of any dangling cord. The shade is made of a sturdy high-quality canvas-like material, and rolls up and down very easily. I wanted this for a south-facing window and it works well to block out any light coming in. In the summer the glaring sun can add quite a bit of heat to the room so I'm expecting that the insulating factor of this shade will keep it a lot cooler. I had fashioned a foil car windshield sunscreen to use for that window that was somewhat effective but this is quite the major upgrade from that. Rather an investment though but it seems durable and looks like it will last a long time.

You just pull them down to close and lift up to open.Installation is easy, and after measuring, the fit is perfect. They are great quality, the frame is durable, and there's no string for babies or fur babies to pull or chew on. They have not fallen down this far. They would be great for rentals where you don't want to put holes in the wall. The fabric itself is on the more delicate side as far as kids or pets are concerned, but the frames feel sturdy.

Quick and simple temporary solution

We have just moved into a new house and it has no curtains or anything on the windows, so this Changshade No Drill No Tools Blackout Roller Shades is just what we need until we can decide on the kind of window treatments to get. This’s basically a black plastic fabric with adhesive stickers and Velcro tape. Easy to install, you just need to measure, cut and attach it to the window frame. It definitely looks like a temporary fix but it’s a quick and cheap solution. We haven’t noticed much thermal insulation effect since the plastic is fairly thin, but it does block out sunlight and provide a bit of privacy.
