One of our daughters-in-law and two granddaughters were recently baptized in our church and we were asked to be the god parents. This was long overdue and a very emotional and joyous moment in both their lives and ours as well. It seemed only natural to have a small memento to mark the occasion. While the granddaughters both got some age-appropriate bracelets, I wanted something a little more symbolic for her. I love the simplistic beauty of this. It a perfect size for either leaving in the stand or hanging from somewhere. Our hope is that along with lighting their candles on the anniversary of their baptisms', this will serve as a daily reminder of when their lives were given to Christ.
I got this cross for my godson’s baptism, and it’s absolutely perfect. The presentation alone is stunning—it comes beautifully boxed and ready to gift, which makes it feel so special right out of the package. I will say I wish the outside of the box had no words on it but that’s personal preference. The cross itself is high quality, great size with lovely detail on the praying boy, and I love that it can either stand on the included wood base or hang on the wall as he grows. The Bible verse card is a thoughtful touch, and I plan to write my own note in the blank card that comes with it. It reminds me of my precious moments I use to get as a child. It’s such a meaningful keepsake that feels heartfelt and timeless—something he’ll be able to cherish for years.
Nice cross. I was going to use it for a communion gift but it felt a little young. Definitely gifting it at the next family baptism. Feels sturdy - which, I mean, it'll hang on the wall, but it doesn't have the cheapy feel, if that makes sense. Nice gift box.
