This thing is pure SQUEEE!!!!

Okay, I love this thing. I can't even with the tiny chiminea. I live in the southwest and already have some emotional attachment to this style of burner. It sparks joy for sure.I have used it with a rosemary smoke bundle I made from rosemary growing in my garden. (I definitely don't mean to get preachy, but I think most people are aware at this point of the issues surrounding white sage and overharvesting, and similar issues are being created now with palo santo. It's possible to do wonderful smoke cleansing with other plants. I'll save you some heartache though and let you know that garden sage is NOT a replacement for white sage because it stinks to high heaven. So bad. Rosemary is amazing, though.)I also really enjoy using it for regular incense. I buy Shoyeido brand, usually Moss Garden, in shorter sticks, and they fit perfectly in the little incense chiminea. I have brass incense holders and I use one of those inside, thread the incense stick from the top to the holder inside, and then I can light it and the incense stick is entirely contained in the chiminea. I still get the smoke coming out and being all magical without worrying as much about the incense getting knocked over or broken (which can happen with the Shoyeido and other Japanese style incense sticks which don't have a core running through them). It also makes the effect last a bit longer as the smoke bundles and palo santo tend to go out more quickly.Overall I'm thrilled! The legs are hollow, which sort of surprised me, but it turns out it's not an issue to really empty the ashes out. You can just pick up the entire thing, tip it over (keeping the larger hole facing up while you do it), then pour the ashes easily through the top hole of the chiminea like a perfect little funnel that just empties the ashes perfectly into wherever you're emptying them.Search brass incense holders if you're interested in little pieces that will work inside of the chiminea for other types of incense.

Whimsical and unique

This little chiminea is absolutely darling! It is very petite and small. Admittedly, I didn't buy this to actually use it so I cannot leave a review on functionality pertaining to burn. I just found it so cute I wanted it as decor. If I change my mind and try to use it, I will update this review.I find the texture slightly rough but not unpleasant, it has the vibe of a classic bisque fired chiminea which is what I loved about it from the very beginning.As for quality, I do find the walls a little thinner than expected, so even if I wanted to burn in it I might be a little reluctant because of that aspect and the worry of it cracking from heat. If it was just a bit thicker it would be ideal. It seems a bit on the fragile side though because of this. I might only trust a small tea light in it.I do think overall thought that just simply for the whimsical and adorable design of it as decor, it is worth the price point. It was also very well packaged

Versatile for different types of incense

This chiminea burner looks exactly like the real thing but in miniature form. It's glazed and shiny versus the typical terracotta chimenea. It has raised detailing on the outside, which gives it a lovely design and texture.The mouth of the chiminea is white enough that you could easily fit a tidy bundle of sage inside. It's also got enough space inside that you could place a small chunk of Palo Santo without it hanging out of the chiminea if you didn't want it to, in order to capture the ashes. And it definitely can be used to burn standard cone instance if that's what you would prefer.I was able to place this outside on a table in the backyard and use it with some citronella incense. I may also put a battery operated tea candle in it in the warmer months, because it is very cute and makes a great decoration if you're not someone who wants to utilize it for different kinds of scented things that are actually on fire LOL.If you know someone who likes meditation and calming rituals, this could make a fantastic gift with a package of incense. It's lightweight so it does need to be handled with some delicacy, but that's not an indication of it being made poorly. In fact it looks like something charming you'd see in an upscale boutique or a yoga studio for sale.
