Lovely Resin Cemetery Vase Of Good Quality With Attachable Stake For Use As Ground Vase

Resin vase that really looks like its made of concrete. Though it is made of resin it is sufficiently heavy so it doesn’t tip over easily when it is set upon a flat surface such as at the side of a cemetery monument.FYI: By my own experience, I find that by adding a bit of nano tape to the bottom of the vase and then placing the vase onto the very clean and dry headstone base, the vase stays securely in place.I appreciate that there is the option of using the vase as I’ve described above, or it may also be placed into the ground since there is a threaded hole attached to the bottom of the vase where the included 5.5 inch threaded stake may be added. Although the stake is nice to have, I do wish there were an additional length of that stake -maybe one that could be attached to the first stake to double the length. Because this metal stake is very smooth and only five and a half inches long it can easily work out of the ground, so it would be wise to keep a check on this matter often.There is a drain hole at the bottom as well, which is imperative to keep the vase from holding water and then freezing in cold weather which will likely cause the resin to crack. There is a plastic stopper to cover that hole which should be removed to allow water to drain properly.The vase has two sides which have 3-D impressions of two different intricately designed angel figures. The other two sides are smooth. I was surprised by how clearly defined the decorative elements are.The vase measures over nine and a half inches tall and is nearly three and three quarters square, all of which makes for a good size to hold a bouquet of lovely flowers. I am including photos of the vase as a free standing vase and also as it looks when the stake is used to stabilize it for use on the ground.Absolutely pleased with this vase, with the only slight issue I find to be the length of the ground stake, but that is not a deal breaker at all. I would choose this vase again.

Beautiful Design but Crooked Stake Makes It Unusable

This cemetery vase arrived today and first impressions were mostly positive — with one major issue that ultimately makes it hard for me to recommend.The vase is designed to look like stone, though it’s made from a durable material rather than actual stone. While it’s not especially heavy, it does feel sturdy and well-made, which is important for outdoor use. Living in the Midwest, I’m always mindful of how items will hold up through cold winters, snow, and changing weather, and this vase seems like it would handle the elements well.The paint finish looks nice and arrived in perfect condition thanks to solid packaging with Styrofoam protection. Design-wise, there’s an angel figure on each side with hands in prayer, along with decorative detailing at the top. It’s tasteful and appropriate for a gravesite.It also includes a metal ground stake that twists onto the bottom of the vase. Unfortunately, this is where the problem comes in. No matter how carefully the stake is screwed in, it sits noticeably crooked. I’ve tried adjusting it multiple times and even had others attempt it — it still leans. Once placed in the ground, the vase does not stand straight, which is a major concern for something intended for a memorial setting.It appears the threaded hole itself may be misaligned, causing the stake to attach at an angle. Because of this, the vase looks uneven and unstable once installed, and I’m not comfortable placing something like this on my grandparents’ grave knowing it leans and could potentially break.One feature I do appreciate is the removable plastic drain ring at the bottom, which allows water to drain. This makes it suitable for both real and artificial flowers, which is a nice touch. Unfortunately, due to the crooked stake issue, I don’t think I’ll be able to use it at all.While the vase itself looks nice and feels durable, the flawed stake design is a significant drawback and, for me, makes it unusable for its intended purpose.
