Safer way to enjoy scented candles: quicker fragrance release + automatic timer

I ordered this EMINLONA "Candle Warmer Lamp with Timer & Dimmable, Wireless Remote Control Candle Warmer, Height Adjustable Wax Warmer Lamp for Jar Candles, Gifts for Women/Mom,Modern Home Decor. (Bronze)" because I don’t allow open flames in bedrooms or other rooms of the house. I've seen too many homes damaged by candles that caused a fire, so something so preventable isn't something I'm willing to risk. My daughter has quite a few scented jar candles she really wants to use, so I thought we'd give this a try.Assembly was pretty straightforward. Everything went together quickly, and I had it set up in just a few minutes. The only slightly tricky part was adjusting the height of the light arm, so I asked for another hand to make sure I got it tightened securely. The warmer adjusts to accommodate different candle sizes, which is helpful. Unfortunately, after fiddling with the metal my hands had that noticeable metallic smell. It washed off easily, but was a little annoying.The warmer itself is attractive and fairly compact. The bronze finish blends in nicely on a dresser and doesn’t look bulky or out of place. It adds to the decor and doesn't feel like an appliance. The base feels solid, has a good weight to it, and is a stable, well-balanced design. There’s an anti-slip pad underneath, which helps it stay put.This warmer lamp worked very well, and much faster than I expected. Within a few minutes of turning it on, the fragrance was already filling the room. It actually releases scent more quickly than when we light the candle the traditional way. (Important note: the candle should not be lit when using this warmer, despite what the current product photos suggest.)The dimmer offers multiple brightness levels, which is nice depending on the time of day. The remote worked reliably for me, though the buttons are a little confusing at first. After a few uses it becomes easier to remember which is which. I actually referenced some of the product reviews to better understand the heart and moon buttons.The timer feature is what makes me most comfortable using it. It offers 2-, 4-, and 8-hour settings. I personally would only use this product with the timer engaged to avoid potential overheating. The glass shade does get quite hot during use, so care is still needed, but the risk of fire — especially from a candle being tipped by a pet — is greatly reduced compared to an open flame.In terms of durability, it seems well made. The metal components feel sturdy, not flimsy, and it comes with a second bulb, which will allow for longer use.Overall, this does exactly what I hoped it would do. It allows us to enjoy scented candles without the worry of an open flame. It’s attractive, effective, and feels solidly built. For our home, it’s been a very good solution.

Adjustable, remote, works great

I picked this up to have a flame-free way to use jar candles. The lamp is black painted metal with a brushed bronze finish over it, and it uses a halogen bulb to melt the wax from the top down. This completely cuts out the soot and smoke you usually deal with when burning a wick.The base is heavy enough to feel stable. The most useful part is the adjustable height. I have another one that is a fixed height, which makes using this one so much easier by comparison. You can move the lamp up or down to fit different jars, so it easily handles everything from small jars to the taller and larger 3-wick versions.The wireless remote is an excellent feature, and the timer (2, 4, or 8 hours) is a solid safety feature. There are four brightness levels to control the heat. I really like that the timer is a setting on both the remote AND on the inline control switch. I find it works best by setting it to high for 5 to 10 minutes to get the wax melting, then reducing it to the lowest level to keep the scent going. It does get hot to the touch while it's running, so you need to be mindful of where you grab it if you're adjusting it mid-use.For a house with cats, this is a much safer setup since there’s no risk of singed whiskers. While a candle can still get knocked over, it won't start a fire from open flames. You still have to be careful with which scents you use around pets, but it keeps the air cleaner than a smoking wick.Generally good quality build although I find that the adjustment knob is a bit fiddly. You really need both hands to adjust it- one for the knob and one to position the lamp. Getting two bulbs in the box is a nice touch so you aren't stuck if one burns out.
