Beautiful and best with electric tapers

I’m conflicted about these.Pros:- Really gorgeous looking. They are slim, elegant, and the finish is even- You get 12 in a set, and they’re graduated, which I like.- Probably safest for decorative use to place as is- May be safer with battery-operated candlesCons- Lightweight. Even a slight gust of wind will blow them over. Definitely not for outdoor use—unless, you use electric tapers. In my initial review, I had said that might not work, but I tried it, and actually they’re relatively stable with them,- Absolutely do not use a lit candle in these; you're risking a fire- Assembly is tedious. Not difficult, just tedious. If you'd planned to buy several boxes, you will be cursing yourself as the assembly goes on and on.- I got these tapers (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08SM1N4NB) and the whole thing looked quite nice. With those in place, you'd have to push them a bit to get them to tip over, which would be true of any candlesticks that weren't weighted metal.In sum, I'd say these are best for decorative use indoors, with and electric taper, and on a day when you have time to assemble them. Elegance for a good package price

Looks Nice in Photos, But Very Lightweight

I was really excited to receive these because I ordered them to match another gold candle set I had purchased. Unfortunately, I was pretty disappointed once they arrived.First, they come in a relatively small box and arrive in separate pieces — the base, the shaft, and the top cup all need to be assembled. Assembly itself isn’t difficult, but it immediately gives you an idea that these are not solid one-piece holders.They are very thin and extremely lightweight. In the listing photos, they appear substantial and sturdy, but in person they are hollow and not solid at all. I honestly wouldn’t feel comfortable using real taper candles in them. They’re so lightweight that I’d worry about stability, especially if bumped or if there’s any movement around the table.For reference, this is a 12-piece set for about $50 — that breaks down to a little over $4 per holder. Even at that price per piece, I still think the quality feels low for what’s advertised. They definitely look more substantial in photos than they are in reality.I also would not recommend using these outdoors with real candles. If there’s any wind at all, they will not withstand it — they’re simply too light and could tip over easily.That said, they could work with battery-operated or rechargeable taper candles. For decorative purposes only — especially for creating a romantic or relaxed vibe indoors — they can still look nice from a distance.Overall, for real candle use and stability, these are a pass for me. I would recommend looking elsewhere if you’re expecting heavier, solid metal candle holders.

Beautiful and Functional

I burn a lot of candles, and usually burn at least one (and often more) each day. What I love about these candlesticks, first of all, is the color. Even before I assembled them, I could see how beautiful the color was (see photo).I also love the fact that these candlesticks were so easy to assemble—you just twist the candlesticks together and your done. I use a number of different candle sizes, and these candlesticks work perfectly for them. One can easily use candle adhesive or, if you're like me, you can just use salt or a bit of sand. I tried this candlestick out using a four-inch candle (see photo). I filled the cavity with a bit of salt and the candle remained erect.In the past, I’ve had problems with the candle wax residue becoming embedded in candlesticks. However, with these candlesticks all I had to do was use a piece of tweezers and the wax came out quickly. I absolutely love these candlesticks and will be using them regularly!

Nice looking but very light weight

Nice metal candle sticks that comfortably fit a standard taper candle. They seem to be made well, and while you need to assemble them upon receipt, it’s extremely easy and quick. Just screw the cup onto the pillar, then screw the base onto the bottom. That’s it! It’s nice that they come in three different heights so they do make a very nice display. I only gave 4 stars as they are very light weight and I would highly recommend using only flameless candles in these. I would be extremely nervous using an actual flame candle in these because they would seem to tip over very easily. They do come with little black felt pads to snap in the underside of the round base, so I suppose you could try to put some heavy pebbles or even rice into the bottom to help weight them, but I’m not sure how well the pad would then stay in place. Personally, I’m going to stick with using only flameless candles for my own piece of mind. Nice looking candle sticks.
