I love grassy smells. This is not quite just "mowed lawn" smell - more subtle and interesting, but in that neighborhood. This brand is great and this scent in particular is so nice mid-winter when you're missing green stuff.
I Love this Candle! It is delicately fragrant and the green glass is gorgeous. I will keep and repurpose the container when the candle has burned down; that’s how pretty it is.
NOT THE SAME AS BEFORE.Everyone has been complaining about the Boy Smells rebranding and reformulation, but I’ve been a die hard BS fan for years and I thought how bad could it possibly be? Well, it turns out pretty bad. The complexity of the scents are completely gone. Replaced with flat, cheap smelling notes that can be found in any $8 Home Goods candle. The old formulas were mysterious and layered and intoxicating. These on the other hand have a chemically artificial smell (globally sourced = cheap ingredients from China). They’re cheaper sure, but I would gladly pay a few dollars more for something i love. Sadly I don’t think Boy Smells will change back for the better and there are plenty of other options at this price points. I did enjoy the while they lasted.
This candle has a very strong scent and smells nice. I was quite disappointed that they shipped this candle in a bag at Amazon and the box was quite damaged in the process. Luckily, the candle did not bust. But unfortunately, this was a gift and will not look nice.
As soon as I smelled this candle, I knew I was going to be a big fan! It is not at all what I was expecting, it's not an in your face, lawn just mowed smell, but it is very earthy, plant-like scent, almost like you are in a sweet smelling greenhouse, and it is INCREDIBLE!! I LOVE lighting it on a nice day that I don't have to have the AC on, and can have the wind blowing in through the windows, with this scent wafting through my home. My very picky 12 year old daughter also loves it!I always make sure to trim my wick before each re lighting (and the first lighting of course), making sure it is straight when you light, not bent to one side or another. Keep any burnt wick pieces out of the wax, and always burn long enough for a full layer of wax to be melted before snuffing the flame, and don't re light until it has gone back to its fully solid state...those are the tricks that I have learned to care for your candles to the best of your ability.Overall, I think the price is a bit high, but for the nicer look and elevated feel it puts off, I do think it's worth it, the candle itself certainly is a clean burning, high quality candle! I would absolutely Recommend this if you want to buy yourself or someone else something nice! This is a GREAT candle for either a man or a woman! It really isn't feminine nor is it masculine!
I was excited for this candle because my boys love fresh smells in their room, and you hardly ever see candles marketed toward boys so I thought it was a fun idea. Unfortunately, I think the glass of the candle may have been too heavy for the box it comes in, because by the time I had opened it the candle had slipped out and the packaging had been ruined. This caused the candle to come off the wick, so I had to take a wire and re-thread the wax so it could sit back on the wick. That was a bit messy and somewhat of a hiccup, but once we got past that, the candle itself actually burned really nicely. The scent is somewhat minty/woodsy, but not overwhelming. I feel that it has a pretty mild, background scent versus some other candles that we have used. I think because of the size it probably would smell stronger in a space like the bathroom; we have it in the boys' bedroom right now and it doesn't seem front and center. Overall it's nice, but I'm not sure I would select it again and I think there needs to be a solution to the heavy candle + thin box combo.
