Interior mounted black out shades will not completely black out light

This is a well-made, attractive blind and installation could not be easier. However, future customers should be aware that the only way to achieve a complete "black-out" of light is with an exterior mount. We ordered the 59" shade, the size of our window opening; the head rail of the blind is 59" but the actual shade is a little less than 58", so there is no way to prevent light from coming in around the sides with an interior mount.We were hoping that by adding the shade to cover our existing cellular blinds, we could achieve a completely dark room, but this is not the case. We are still looking for other solutions, as unfortunately an exterior mount just won't work with our window.Our first order was mis-delivered thanks to FedEx, but the seller was very helpful in resolving the issue.

I love the customization but yes that one thing is is that it’s not completely black out the sides will show light but I bought this because I need a clean space and curtains hold hair. I have lots of pets and I find that curtains hold a lot of dust and hair and they just make everything stuffy so with the slide down, it keeps everything cleaner and organized and it also gives you more space so this has been super convenient for me. I just got it out of the package and literally shoved it into the wall and that was it and it is just super perfect super clean, super organized and it looks great.
